Upsides to PC gaming - debating converting

Hey guys,
I was just wondering why you guys use PC as opposed to console, always been a console gamer myself. But my xbox wants a new disc drive and I'm building a new rig anyway, I was just thinking I might stick a gaming card in and just use the pc for it.

So what are the upsides to it?

Cheaper games, KB and mouse, better graphics, mods, DLC sometimes more readily available free.....

For a lot of us its the hi res video options and mouse and keyboard option fps games.

I find games are much cheaper, especially indie type games. If you compare some of the indie games that are available on Xbox Live then look at how much they are on PC they are loads cheaper.

Control sucks on consoles. How the **** can you flick shot when it takes a finite amount of time to rotate

Modding
Cheaper games

But it is much more expensive

Agreed - I has both... get best of both worlds... I also use the eggsbox controller on my PC every now and then.

The only benefit of a console is the console exclusive games. Everything else is done the same or better on PC.

Anyone ever watched a friend or family member play an XBOX or PS3? Ever noticed the frame rate drops during action scenes? Ever had to contain yourself from not saying something like "omg dude, how can you play on this rubbish? Can you no see the frame rate drop? Cna you not see the jagged textures? Yuck! I'm off the play BF3 at 1920x1200 and 200fps! See ya!"

The only benefit of a console is the console exclusive games. Everything else is done the same or better on PC.

Local multiplayer? Far better on a console generally.

And when you are not gaming, for the higher price you get the advantage of using the PC for tons of other stuff. Office software suite, easily customisable media centre, media editing, programming etc etc etc. I mean try installing iTunes on your 360.

While I get your point (and anyone that owns a console will likely have some sort of PC anyway)

..that is the worst example ever.

2. 360 has media player software already so you wouldn't need itunes!

Consoles full of little kiddy fags. Ruin your gaming experience, I own xbox and to pay for xbox live gold, then price of a game, to have some little rat scream at me down mic or unsporting conduct in many games, No your ok! ive had enough of xbox lol
