How Hard are You?

where have i defended him?

I'm saying it's sensible to have safety equipment in your car

exactly the reason i carry it, although it has it's other uses. i was once in a situation where i needed a seatbelt cutter and didn't have one so i got one with the glass hammer attached 2 for 1. don't think the plod would take kindly to me carrying a stanley knife around with me for cutting a seatbelt off:rolleyes:.

I suspect I'd get my head kicked in because I'd let them land the first solid blow before I properly reacted, by which point it could be too late. Lack of experience, a guy could be squaring up to me but because I've never been in a fight as an adult I'd probably just be trying to defuse the situation, not reading the signals properly, he'd then catch me with a sucker punch and I'm at a disadvantage from the start.

I know some people suggest that the best policy is launch a premptive strike if you think something might kick off, just smash your palm into their nose and then run off, but I just can't picture myself ever throwing the first punch.

The best policy is not to get into ridiculous conversations with the people who just told you what you've relayed onto us. I've never really thought about 'squaring up' or 'sucker punches' or anything like that.

The sad truth is that 99% of fights are just caused by drunken on the spur moments in which case nobody knows what would happen. I've seen big softies turn into psychopaths and big 'ard men turn into blubbering vaginas just like that.

6 foot 4, 16 stone 10, had boxing lessons when I was about 17-19 so can more than hold my own, although haven't been in that sort of situation for some years. The last time someone tried it they got knocked out cold with one punch which was rather disturbing/worrying (until they came to).

what does height and weight have to do with anything i'm 6ft4 and 19 stone i've been nicknamed butcher and unit. but i'm not naive enough to think i can hold my own against everyone i come across. It's also very rare someone would receive a smack to the chops from me and i would rather use grappling techniques to pin them down..

Harder than king kong on cell tech. Serious, I can handle myself as I did boxing for a few years and sparred with this absolute nut job who hated on me. Sunderland is like a market for fights on a Friday and Saturday but a lot of the time I talk through it or walk off.

I have a bro who is both psycopathic and "hard, tough, rugged" for want of a better word if somebody bothers him. He's put many a professional boxer down and is a more rugged version of my father who was a heavyweight ABA boxing champion. He's into all this survival SAS stuff and regularly gets his 80lb pack and walks the coast of the UK. last year he had an encounter with an armed response team in London because some dimwit reported him walking through one of the streets with a machine gun when all it was a walking stick (pole). Anyway, both ends of the street were blocked off and there were screams of get down on the %&*$*&$ floor as the response team drew their weapons. he just stood his ground, telling them they were a bunch of %$*&% for not knowing the difference between a walking stick and a machine gun and there was no way on the face of this planet he was going down on the floor. He had a do with a youth with a knife another with a metal bar and another with a house brick. All three went down. ironically he does all this walking to get away from the kinds of people ansd incidents I mentioned.

Whenever I'm in a situation I stop and think, "What would TwoBlackLines do?"

The answer becomes evident.

but how often is "cry and wet yourself" the correct answer?

i have never had a fight since i became an adult.
but i was a proper scrapper as a kid, young teen.

but now i am 6' 4" and 17st, so i tend not to attract that type of attention, ;)
