Conti Sport3 lasted less than 3 months on the front of mine.
You must be forever at the pump?![]()
Mine is comfortable, does 0-60 in 6 secs, 155+ top end, handles well, does not rattle your fillings out and makes a lovely noise. Downside is its expensive to run but at least it keeps the chavs out of them for a while![]()
Fuel economy is the cars biggest downfall. On the upside, they're:
- Cheap to buy
- Look nice
- Comfortable for long journeys
- Handle well
- Engine has a nice spread of power, sounds great, doesn't need thrashed to go everywhere
Compared to the common alternatives (Golf GTI, A3 2.0T, Civic Type R, Clio 197 etc) it's a perfectly viable option.
I know they are not a bad car, but for the MPG they return, I'd be wanting 250bhp + and not FWD with that sort of power. All of the other hot hatches listed are easily capable of getting at least 10 more MPG which works out as a lot of money saved.
For the price I would personally rather have an Evo VII or VIII.
