What a meh sale overall, I have hardly bought anything and can't remember a Steam sale where there's been so little to tempt me.

In fact EA had a much better sale this year with their Advent thing.

There been some the top played games in this year steam sale

Skyrim and BF3 purchased today Glad BF3 is coming on disc as it's taking ages to download anything from Steam at the moment. Just finished a 13GB update on L4D2 on my new machine as well as starting Total War Shogun 2.

Personally only interested in two of them and I already had them.

EA sale had newer games with bigger % discounts than the Steam sale. Like BF3 / Crysis 2 50% off for example. Or Bulletstorm £5 etc.

So I've just bought it (bargain, IMO) and it's given me an 'install key'...can I just use this in Steam and download it from there?
