I personally think HC is for noobs as everyone knows most the good ppl in HC have just stuck a physical crosshair on there monitors right in the centre and go around getting 1 shot kills with LMG. If you don't believe me check out youtube. Why give these noobs a advantage and just play normal mode where a 100 burst gun won't kill you in 1 shot which apparently takes skill?

O lord, it's the HC vs Normal argument risen from the grave! The only time CoD and BF fans can feel as if they're somewhat related.

This is why these arguments are ridiculous, RPG spam isn't even bad in this game and the 3D spotting is massively toned down from BC2. Fact is it takes less bullets to kill in hardcore so aim is less important, not to say you don't need to aim but people who think they are better for playing one or the other are quite sad.

The fact is you die easier in hardcore, not some kind of bullet sponge. Generally this stops rambo type players and promotes teamplay. That's all I care about.

I like HC, it means for a better gameplay on good server because you're forced to use your eyes and look a round in the game world instead of just look for the orange floating triangle behind the wall for when your team spots an enemy close by like on non HC servers.

Other times I prefer non HC because it's a different setting.

Rabbits for courses.

Conscript arnt you the dude that kept spawning on the front of my tank just now :D

Yeah I was on the SAS server for a bit, but left as it was pretty empty :D

I personally think Caspian Border is one of the most skilled maps as infantry only own if they play as a squad and vehicles play a big part in the whole scheme of things. Bf3 certainly needs more maps like Caspian Border. Unfortunately the Back to Karkland big maps have to many buildings which aids these annoying campers which ruin the game.

I am certainly not sad enough nor care about my score enough to risk damaging my expensive monitor to gain an advantage over others. That would be tantamount to cheating anyway, where would the fun be?

If you're so skilled at the game, why are you putting yourself in the line of fire of machine guns firing 100 round bursts? This is the point we keep coming back to. You harp on and on about it, but your only definition of "skill" seems to be how quick you are with the mouse. What about the skill of outflanking obviously well positioned machine gunners? Or being able to spot targets without needing a glowing indicator? Or conserving your ammo, and reloading when you think appropriate, not when your digital counter tells you you need to? Or having the good sense not to expose yourself to enemy fire?

Your "skill" is based on games like Counterstrike, and Quake 3, and Modern Warfare. That's the game you want, thats fine. But I want more from my game than just a bang-bang-bang jump bang-bang-reload rinse and repeat. Games have given us the option to move on and get more depth from the experience rather than just being a showcase for skill.

You don't like it? Fine. Don't play it. But get over yourselves and stop attacking those who don't with childish name calling and accusations of being unskilled.

I think HC is for people who like HC and normal mode for people who like normal mode, there's no difference in the ability of the demographic who play either, just different likes / dislikes.

You're arguing apples vs oranges against people who don't like apples or oranges.

^^ This TBH

You have to start a server some how.. seems to have 32 more players than the one your on now though :D

Campers can ruin it for some, but for me the fun is hunting campers down and taking them out (as most as possible with a knife which really annoys some players).

I totally agree with you on Caspian.

Well BF3 is the new COD, with the change of OP vechiles instead of kill streaks (which you had to work for)

Time to move back to Red Orchestra 2 plays much better imo.

What a ridiculous post.

Care to back that up with a cogent argument? If not Ill assume the same sentiments for your retort.

He makes a claim for Hardcore being for "noobs". I list all the crutches that it removes from the game to make things more challenging. Problem?

Do joysticks work yet? Tried but could not configure my Cyborg Evo thing? Also do you lot use headset and mic when in teams to communicate and if so do you use a software add on or the in game capability?

Im using a wired Xbox pad with no problem, so I assume a joystick should work?

There isn't any in game VOIP, only via Battlelog.

Most people here probably use either Mumble, Teamspeak or Ventrilo.

Ah OK, I'd just assumed it was in there but as I've not used a headset I've not looked. Seems like Mumble is the way to go as mate has set it up on our server.
