***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

ok so all we got is four cars, one of which is just another GT-R but..
the lights on the pace car now flash.
can't switch them off though.

Rather than new tracks I'd like to see them add a few of the glaringly obvious missing cars. Saabs, Fords, Quattro S1, Diablo SV, VXR8, D-Type, Koenigseggs, Gumpert and a premium tuner mk1 Impreza (e.g. the Gobstopper). I could go on.. actually I've got a list somewhere. :D

Happy new year OcUK, happy new year GT5 thread.

idk, nfs did it ok.. maybe?
don't care anyway, would rather have autosculpt than damage modelling.
it's not that great anyway, some of the cars look really stupid once they're damaged. The only half decent ones are the rally cars and they just have bits fall off which would be easy to do when you have bumpers, doors etc. attached to a main chassis mesh. Then maybe add some kind of deformation filter thingy to the meshes (???). Maybe the damaged version of a once autosculpted bumper can be calculated at auto-sculpt time even. That then adds a minor complication of sharing them online I guess. idk how autosculpt works really, I don't know the name of the technique, but there are a few set variables, length here, width here, depth here which can be varied. Apply those same variables to the damaged bumper model as to the undamaged bumper model and presto.

Indeed, but you know how long PD like to polish things for :p

£4.79 is worth it for the cars.

The last DLC was not worth the £3.xx for the 4 we got and now it's a pathetic test track for £3.19 that most will barely use... but I'll get it anyway since I really love GT5.

The pricing really doesn't make sense at times for some of the things you get. I can't get over a year from release we've only had 1 track and 1 test track.

we've had a lot more from that from the all the free updates to the game etc, adding stuff tweaking stuff etc, which is good as it shows they still care about the game, a lot of companies would have abandoned the game by now and started the next game etc.

Hmm beetle = awful in general though could be fun if tuned, the Jaguar XJR-9 LM was great in GT4. Wish they'd release the Ferrari FXX...

download is taking forever and I'm going to have to go get more PSN moneys (because as if I'm putting card details on there)
worth it for that Jag in all it's premium glory though.
Of course I still have a list a mile long of cars they should be adding and I want to be able to switch the lights on and off on the pace car.

and a car design competition, winner gets car added to GT5.
