HD7950 Delayed to February

Enlighten me then? because everyone is just speculating at the moment on why they’ve been delayed.

Early GPUs on 6950 cards were not laser cut, it happened countless times in the past and it will happen again with other generations. No mystery there.

As for the apparent 7950s "delay", for all we know the cards weren't delayed but just rescheduled for the later date, months ago. We wouldn't know this info anyway.

Hence the lack of 7950s' reviews a month before launch and no soft launch.

Anything else that you struggle to understand?

I won't be buying a 7950/7970.
But this sure is frustrating for those that are waiting on these cards.
These do look like nice cards however.
Role on 8950 for me.

It's not really a delay.

All they've done is pushed the the date back to when the cards will be available so it's a real launch instead of a paper launch.

Well yes, but I do love pretty benchmarks to look at!

Thanks for clearing up the misunderstanding of the whole post, perhaps the heading should be changed to “HD7950 to be launched in February” and not have delayed in it.

It'll still probably be too long and expensive for me, but I know this news will make a lot of you unhappy.

How very annoying. Although I want the 7970, I wanted to compare the two... value wise. Might as well wait for the 7990 which will surface in March.

Likelihood is that they will re-price the 7950 based on sales of 7970 and same for 7990
