Everything lol.

I just can't aim properly when shooting and always lose in close encounters etc.

I don't want to sounds weird, it is just i'm not used to keyboard and mouse controls... I've played games on consoles all my life, now I have a PC it is off-putting because I can't play on it :(

Just keep trying mate, Be more sneaky about it all. If you are new to keyboard and mouse you will always struggle against someone who has been using them for years. So you need to gain the element of surprise until you start to feel more comfortable. Everything on BF with keyboard and mouse is actually much quicker than with the controller on console (I've played both extensively)
 
Need to get on voice comms with you lot, always finish top half of the board 75% of the time top 4 and play team orientated so can only benefit form having some form of verbal comms going on in game.

what do i need, mumbal? whats the server details etc? please though mind the cockny/geordy mess that is my accent!

Loving the UMP45 with RD and laser sight too BTW
 
I disagree, Mr Lol, it is all about the kills haha. Just kidding...

Without wanting to dredge it up, I see the HC/SC debate is still happening. As an advocate for the former, I now find myself raping Infantry Only, which is by all accounts SC with no vehicles. I still cannot stand how long it takes to kill someone though, especially if they lag like a bitch

I just get mad with myself over not being able to use them...

I need a proper pair though for gaming, atm im using a pair of cheap Dell ones :p
 
Keyboard don't matter as much, But I like to have a nice mouse at least. It took me ages to get used to keyboard and mouse but that was years and years ago. I then turned to consoles (my pc needed a massive upgrade, Was still AGP and I didn't have the ££) Played loads of BC2 etc on ps3 turned back to the PC and could I hell kill anyone. I kept getting snap shot killed or that is how it felt.

Spawn
Run
Die
Repeat

Engi set up for me;

MP7 (iron sights : Red laser blindy thing : Extended mag)
G18 suppressed
SMAW / RPG (will use Jav if its a heli map)
Repair Torch

Squad ability depends what everyone else has but ideally explosive or sprint.

I have also been known to use the G53.

Hullo,

Just instaled BF3. Downloaded the big 3 gb update.

But the game wont launch. Nothing from launching via Origin nor launcher.exe

Ideas?
 
Engi for me since the nerfed the scar is

A-91 plus halo plus vertical grip plus suppressor
G18 suppressed
RPG or Javelin depending on the map and whether soflam is being used
Repair Torch
Squad explosives (or whatever else if somebody else in my squad is using it already)

Have also been known to use the G53, AKS-74 and M4A1 to good use as well.
 
Engi:

M4A1 gripped, suppressed.
G18 suppressed
rpg/smaw or javelin depending on map & SOFLAM use
repair
Squad expl, supp, covr in that order depending on other squad members.
