No but I already no the offside rule. I doubt anyone who doesn't already know the offside rule will understand this coin.

- effect and affect

You can't conclude that from the diagram though, can you? It can be used to aid an explanation, but on its own it doesn't explain it.

Why? Unless you want to be akward and assume that people dont understand that triangles are Team A, and squares are Team B, the circle is the ball etc.
