Not sure I follow you? If I want to watch 720p material then fine, the Apple TV would do that without any quality loss but, when I want to watch 1080p material, I'd suffer a quality degradation which I don't want.

Broadcast HD TV in this country is 1080i anyway.

JB'd my new apple TV last night and installed XBMC, have to say it looks promising, didnt get much chance to play around with it but managed to install iPlayer app and it works well!

That's an old Jailbreak... Date of that article is Feb 2011...

Just JB my ATV2 with Seas0npass on iOS 4.4.4 Installed XBMC on it, just adding all my media to it now with the covers etc.

Just need to get iPlayer then iam all set

Can anyone recommend any good looking skins?

Iplayer working well apart from the 'Live TV' section of it. If I can get TV Catchup working that will not matter but the plugin keeps crashing when I try to log in, has anyone experienced this or sucessfully got it working? (TV Catchup, not iplayer)

JB my Apple TV a couple of nights ago, I think I am being stupid but how do I install the iPlayer app? I can't find it in the list of plugins or programs?

Also, should I be able to mirror anything off my iPhone / Mac to it? If so how do I do that as the airplay option isn't always available

Sorry if this is n00by but I am not used to all this apple stuff!

I have just acquired an Apple TV 2 and have jailbroken it on the latest 4.4.4, sorry if I'm being thick, but to install XBMC, Eden, NitroTV etc... do I need a Mac and do this via SSH? I only have windows PCs, is there no way to do this via Windows?

I use WinSCP but found it kept timing out and then used Putty which worked first time

all done in win7

Yes I have TV Catchup working. I just downloaded the latest version and used 'install from zip file' to install. The service does go down sometimes so maybe worth another try?

Also running IceFilms and iPlayer if anyone needs help with those.

Isn't the material from Icefilms of questionable provenance? If so and you enjoy movies etc. do you really want to be part of the problem that is causing so much damage to the movie industry. Like so many industries once they are damaged or quality suffers they decline and then we all end up losing - just a thought.

Can someone explain what navi-x does? Not quite sure I understand.
