Skyrim: I keep gettin pwned by dragons - how do you guys kill them :(

They are quite easy, I just throw the occasional fireball in while Lydia and a Flame Atronach sort it out. Leaves me free to mooch about and nip back when they're done.

Got caught out earlier though as i was hanging around when it landed, it bent down and snatched me up in its mouth. Then it shook me about and threw me down dead. Didn't know they could do that!!

dual cast thunderbolt. Staggers with every hit with the correct perk. Let magic regenerate whilst it is stunned, rinse and repeat.
Beats every dragon I've met so far. To make things easier, use the marked for death shout if you have it.

Take the appropriate resistance potion (fire/frost) and use a conjuration scroll/spell so that the dragon attacks the "decoy" whilst you fire arrows at it. That was my method as an archer.

Godzilla.

Always.

:D

You might be right. I would love to see a battle between those two. However, if it could avoid the frost or flames, I have a feeling King Kong would destroy the toughest dragon, swing it around by it's tail, thump it unconscious, then stretch it's jaw open till it snaps (like king kong does to the T-Rex in the movie) :D

Lightning bolts, fire resist boots, restoration and a lot of mace to da face (well OK, the side)!

Oh, try and stay behind them as well otherwise you'll end up as dinner.

I got instant killed once trying to hide to the side the dragon :)

Lesser Ward is easy to cast and blocks the breath attack. Fire and Frost Atronachs are good; Fire Atronachs vs Fire Dragon, Frost Atronachs vs Frost Dragon.

Staves (staffs?) are good as they can fire so fast. Staff of Jyrik Gauldurson is good if you can get it early on.

Spellbreaker shield also good, in combination with Dragonbane.

I'm level 41 Battlemage, so I just stand there with my Spellbreaker shield firing fireballs every so often, then hitting it with my sword when it lands.

All depends on your progress within the game. During the course of play dragons will go from something you avoid to something you one shot. Adjust your tactics accordingly depending on where you are between these two ends of the scale.

Also I don't think any of the enemies in Skyrim have weak spots, so it's always a question of how well equipped you are to take on any given enemy type.

Whaaaaa? It is inface very few amount of enemies that don't, most do! Take Trolls, you roast them with some sort of fire damage and you are laughing, that is their weak spot. Mages, melee attack is their weak spot and lightning damage drains their mana, bears are slow so ranged combat, skeletons also slow, dougars (what ever they are called) are weak to fire. The list goes on.

Not only is it important to know what you are fighting but to also have a big enough arsenal to deal with all types of fight. Like my current character is a assassin/thief so I am VERY squishy up close but if I manage to get the first hit, 9 times out of 10 I will not get hit.

My 2 main weapons are dagger and bow. But I also have fire scrolls, oakflesh, the first perk in destruction to half the cost of all the 3 elements of the spell set (fire, ice and lightning).

Being prepared for any fight really increases your chances. Simply wondering around stubbornly saying "nothing has a weakspot so all I need to use is my sword and shield" is silly, you will do so often it's unreal.

Godzilla whoops that gorilla's butt in King Kong vs Godzilla. ;)
