Sorry if re-post

Without much media attention, thousands of American troops are being deployed to Israel, and Iranian officials believe that this is the latest and most blatant warning that the US will soon be attacking Tehran.
Tensions between nations have been high in recent months and have only worsened in the weeks since early December when Iran hijacked and recovered an American drone aircraft. Many have speculated that a back-and-forth between the two countries will soon escalate Iran and the US into an all-out war, and that event might occur sooner than thought.

From the comments so far, it's almost as if some forum users don't believe the US wants to go to war with Iran...

Israel isn't exactly a great staging area for an attack on Iran, given there are two countries between them no matter which way you go.

I'm having trouble believing it myself.

LOOK OUT THE USA IS INVADING ISRAEL THIS IS THE END OF TIMES JESUS WILL BE HERE ANY MINUTE!!!

Or something.

JERUSALEM — The Israeli military is gearing up together with U.S. forces for a major missile defense exercise, the Israeli military announced Thursday, as tension between Iran and the international community escalates.

The drill is called “Austere Challenge 12” and is designed to improve defense systems and cooperation between the U.S. and Israeli forces. It follows a 10-day Iranian naval exercise near the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Clearly this is just a routine exercise. There are two countries between Israel & Iran. If the US wanted to invade Iran she would not do it from here.

As you've now edited your post with that last sentence - notsureifserious.jpg?

Are you not aware of the many crossovers between the Israel and US nations? In all areas of politics, economy, organisation, military, leaders etc.?

Just say it like it is - Israel/Israeli Americans control US foreign policy and much domestic policy.

The Israel lobby has been pushing for US soldiers to fight their wars in Iran for years. The original plan was Iraq first then roll over the border into Iran but then Iranian proxies bogged the US down in Iraq.

These troop movements aren't major. The Iran OP will be air force only even if the maniacs succeed in making more US troops die for a foreign country. Or maybe....

BTW, it's hilarious to see so many people rubbish the quality of Russia Today - these must be the people who believe in 'the BBC is the most unbiased news source in the world'. These people need to develop the ability to think for themselves and wake up to reality.

The BBC is a disgustingly biased news source run by the ideals of the day and their sources.

well I would have, but as you'll now find out, it results in deluded trolls spamming the thread in an attempt to mock such statements. What you said is 100% correct though.

Do you think America have sent thousands of troops to Israel then? This has nothing to do with the BBC, stay on topic.

I just think if America had sent troops to start yet another war, we would have heard a little bit about it.
