Xbox 360 BF3 server preference

How do I customise the Russain soldier in the "my soldier section", only can find acess to the Marine solders side.
 
As far as I can see your soldier is just your soldier and it defaults to marine.

Got sniped with the SV98 from a passenger in a little bird last night. Had to applaud the shot!

Would like to know this too, but I fear that the answer is just you have to do it while you're in game rather than at the menus.
 
This game really is crap when you don't have a full squad.
6 of us tried to play last night. 4 ended up one on team and 2 on the other. I was one of the 2. The 4 playing together were having a right laugh but I was bored out of my head and fed up of getting killed all the time and not being to capture any points.

Why didn't you ask one of the four to join your squad to help out?
 
because they were on a different team, and couldn't swap because the server was full most likely.

Happens all the time. BF3 doesnt seem to be able to cope with parties at all. It joins you to servers that don't have room for all 4 of you and splits you up etc..

I think they need more servers as over the last week, every time i've looked at the server browser i've only ever been able to find a handful of servers, even european ones during the day.
 
There are plenty of servers, just look at all the empty ones that you can join from the server browser. The thing is the quick match option will only put you on servers that are populated and it doesn't care what region you are in.

Well that's what I have figured out from my own observations anyway.

it tries to balance teams so you dont end up with unbalanced games which is good. however the draw back as you have pointed out that it is near impossible to join a server and keep in the squad. it normally takes a round or two before me and friends end up on the same team
 
Yes I suppose it is difficult to grant entry for 4 partied players without unbalancing a game. I guess it's something we will have to live with and I can't really see how they could get around it.

I make a point of always swapping teams when I see they are unbalanced. It's just something I've always done since my TFC days. It is incredibly satisfying if you can switch to balance and turn a game around and even win it at the death.

Don't know why some are not getting many servers in the browser. I see tons of Euro servers always.
 
Decided to purchase this today, so will look to play a fair amount tonight and this weekend. Would be useful getting some friendly assistance at some point.
 
any one else's games lagging today i have nothing else on that uses the internet apart from my xbox and its lagging like hell
 
Had a go on the 360 version today and its actually not as bad as i was expecting it to be,Of course Graphics are not as good...but it still looked rather decent considering its on a system thats 6+ years old and gameplay was fine give or take a few sound bugs.

Got 11 kills /6 deaths on Conquest round that was half done,3rd highest score from the top of the player list which i don't think was too bad considering my first go at proper online FPS on the Xbox. :D

Try support, everytime someone shoots get the ammo out easy points.... Or assault health packs and revive look for choke points like metro on conquest near flag b or grand bazaar flag b... Again easy points
