Bought a 9800GT from ebay for my misses for £40...........Been working ok until a few minutes ago. My misses was playing sims 3 and her pc just went black screen..........

Already done it. Rang paypal up, sent them images of the artefacts and the card and they said I will get my money back in the next 2 weeks or so and I just have to send the card back to the idiot who sold it to me!

got the card working again! Baked it lol

yea my misses 9800gt had to have the baking treatment and still working xD

What happened to sending it back?
Would they not accept it or something?

Maybe they knew it was faulty so it'd be quite fitting to let them know just how well it's working now, they'll be stumped.

That's what happened to me.

I bought a GTX 8800 Ultra KO ed from fleabay.

It worked for about two days then died. When I read through his feedback I learned that he had bought it as not working about three weeks prior

I too got a refund and then baked it, good as new. But.

It doesn't last. In the end I baked it three times before calling it a day. There's no replacing the solder sadly.
