Is it worth selling up? My current team is:

Aguero - Torres
Tevez
Nasri - Yaya Toure - IF Johnson
Evra - Kolo Toure - Kompany -Richards
Cech

Currently got 400k in the bank so should have around 600k after selling. Would then build a cheap russian team similar to a few pages back. Buy back my EPL team after TOTY and the UP cards.

That's the million pound question really. Is it worth it?

Truth is, no one knows. It might be, it might not be.

Personally, I'm happy with my team, so I'm keeping it and using the money I have stored to upgrade if required.

The 82 IF of Yak goes for around 35-45 on xbox.

There's a winning bid of 35k atm, a couple of BIT for 45 and one of 39k.

Ah so this is why you've been against buying coins etc. You're part of EA. :o

That and it's naughty and doesn't help the in-game economy :(

In other news, prices are going down! I've been IF shopping today, picked up a few bargains :D

should anyone else want to cancel their paypal linked with xbox and it does not let them

the other way to do it is just log into your paypal account find a payment made to ms and click where it says agreement then you can cancel this

so if you try and buy something from xbox with your paypal it will deny it

whats even naughtier is that ea take coins(which is money if youve paid for packs) for a transfer and also a guy who spend hundreds of quid on the game to buy the best players then has to witness the good old disability switch which levels him out against a guy who buys no packs and has a rubbish team

Not sure whether to sell or hold onto my IFs:

IF Aimar x3
SIF Naldo
IF Kagawa
SIF Reus
IF Nagatomo

None of them are going to be in the TOTY...but then mass pack buying = loaaaaaads of coins!

Sorry, I can't make any sense of that :|

I can't for the life of me figure out why there is a "tax" on anything in Fifa. The coins have no monetary value and serve no purpose outside Fifa. It's not like a rake in poker that the dealer takes for hosting the game. Wouldn't surprise me if the coins are pushed back out for some sterling to fund the office party.

simply put dan i am saying if i buy a player from coins which i have got from buying packets with cash then why do i have to pay ea again to buy/sell a player.

and we all know that the game levels out the playing field if you have a good team which you have maybe spent hundreds of pounds on against a team which someone has got for about 2000 coins

id be pretty annoyed

and also why is it that 50 per cent of the time when you score the guy that takes the kick off all of a sudden becomes untouchable and pele like and will waltz down and score instantly:mad:

Helps curb inflation and deters a lot of the "buy for x then instantly turn it around and sell for x+2k" which isn't what the game should be about IMO

a) The tax that EA tax on sales, around 10% I believe. It is a pointless tax as it doesn't put back into the system to make it better (a la real world tax), it just removes it from the game and people have less money.

b) The Handicap that allows lesser teams to perform beyond their abilities sometimes rendering superior teams as useless as Accrington against Barcelona.

c) The high price of packs, compared with the relative scarcity of decent players, and the coins you get from opening packs in addition to the handicap and tax adds frustration.

Thus, buying coins seems less of a 'crime' as the system is hardly fair and is completely geared towards rinsing players of their cash.

No, the game is about winning matches for tiny amounts of coins in ridiculous tournaments with pathetic rewards and then spending lots of real money and getting mostly nothing back. Playing the market is part of the idea of the market and in many cases is the only way to make money.

I guess to stop it from being a purely "spend money = win things" freemium model? It's possible to have a good team and win things without spending a penny.

I've never had this happen to me.

Though I agree, the market is all what FUT is about sadly, considering how little value there is in actually playing matches...

I think it's 5% - without it anyone who decides to undercut the current market price would just have their player snapped up instantly and put back on the market at current market value. It stops people acting like autobuyers and helps the market imo!

The tournaments give out a decent amount of coins - if they gave out too many we'd have crazy inflation, as it currently stands a lot of the people on my friends list could put together a top side using the coins they've earned purely from playing

Oh of course the Market is a MASSIVE part of the gamemode, I'm not disputing that! However without the tax it would be even more ridiculous, a larger percentage of players would be sat scrolling auctions looking for that quick 1 or 2k turnaround instead of playing a match :|

Its ironic that arguably the best mode of FIFA doesnt actually encourage you to play the actual game :p, hell its tantamount a disadvantage if you do...

can do well without money

210k. Played about 90 games. Not spent a penny. Could probably sell my 210k for about 20 quid but I'd rather use it on Fifa me thinks. ;)

Anyway we should stop laying into Dan. Yeah he might be part of EA but I'm sure he doesn't make the decisions about stuff like this. Or do you? :p
