I don't get the impression people are laying into me, seems like a pretty fair debate (unless I've totally read it wrong and people are raging at me :D).

I'm just a mod atm, able to make suggestions and give feedback but I don't make any decisions!
 
Most Fifa players are pretty angry and have something negative to say about the game every time they lose. (me included) :p Yet when somebody bags Messi in a pack, twice in 3 packs in some cases. They feel pretty damn happy about it. Not sure where I'm going with this other than, you don't have to spend money. :p

It doesn't really though does it? It's such a dismal amount that it doesn't make a difference to the people with 200k+ in thier accounts but hammers us part timers who, unless we find messi or some other in demand player, are never going to amass the amount of coins needed without spending £££.

It's frustrating now because it's such a different kettle of fish since UT was introduced. I've played H2H and it just feels totally different to UT, but it's the same game? What happened to Fifa just being Fifa?

I think it does - buying and selling the cheaper players still works as the 5% is usually less than the 1-2k profile made from turning a player round.

However 5% when selling someone like Messi is 25k+ which is where the tax really works imo. Not being biased either as I was a victim of it myself last night :( Bought Messi (again) only to sell him a few games later (again)

It's the same game engine yes, but the UT gamespeed is a lot faster, you can make non-ranked games feel similar by setting the gamespeed to fast.
 
What do you guys think is a better back 4? From a purely defensive standpoint:

Taiwo Chiellini Pepe Ramos or

Taiwo Chiellini Lucio Maicon

I think EA have made strides/encouraged that unless you are happy to put substantial time into FUT you can only really prosper by spending money. Ive had far less time for FIFA this year compared to last and I dont see that changing and an indication of that is my FUT is woefully rubbish and unless I supplement it with real money it wont go anywhere. On top of that EA are seemingly happy to remove my free SE packs too if I forget to actually open them (is this where I should be mad at Dan? :p)

Very hard not to see FUT the equivalent of something like WOW...

But my point is why is it needed? On the small end of scale it makes the most difference because it scrimps coins from players that have a cashflow of under 20k and hampers thier progress. Whereas someone that can afford the 600k+ for messi isn't going to miss the 25 coins because they could buy nearly a hundred packs with that money.

If it was 30%+ then yeah fine i could see the point but at the levels its at the now it only hampers the people with a team value of say 70-100k (me) and doesnt scratch the surface for the top players (messi finders). If it is needed then it should be attached to the selling price rather than a blanket charge.

All it does is force people to turn players around or hunt packs or spend money to find high value players. But thats a business move to make EA cash from packs.
 
Also Dan that time you said that each card has a unique individual ID so it's easy to track players buying and selling etc. I don't believe you. Could you prove it?

I'm not sure I'm able to prove it personally without pasting stuff I'm not allowed to paste ;p If you look on the EA forums (specifically jpflathead's posts) anyone hacked is advised to post a "showoff" link of their team from the webapp so EA can find out the specific cardIDs to see exactly where they've gone.

It's the same thing that makes duplication impossible, each card ID number in the database is unique.

IF Nagatomo - Chiellini - Lucio - Maicon.

Taiwo is quick and strong but he's an absolute donkey on the ball, makes terrible errors and has the touch of a rapist.

Personally wasn't a massive fan of Maicon either, preferred Abate.

Ramos is too slow for FB imo.
 
Hm ok Dan. Fair enough. I'm not sure I've ever heard any positive stories of people who have been hacked refunded by EA and the hacker banned etc though. Care to share?

Also just heard I could pretty much get this with 210k. Well it was that team on PS3 but with Suarez at CF and Chic up front and for 200k. So I figured Xbox prices plus a bit more money could make that.

There's a big incident going on at the moment (massive thread on the EA forums), #1 on the leaderboards was hacked, he had every IF bar Rooney and 9m in coins :| He's getting refunded in coins, as have a number of other people have more recently. There's a new anti-fraud forum set up to try and get these cases turned around quicker...I know Tim lost a lot a few months ago but with it being so long ago I'm not sure anything can be done - though if he has a showoff link from that far back it might not be impossible?
 
The problem with that team is the wide CAMs play a bit like wingers so you want pace, Nasri would be ok wide but Modric and Silva imo would be a bit slow. The CF also plays almost as a striker so RVP'd be better there imo. Up to how you play the formation but that's my opinion on it.
 
Probably settle for the first team I posted. Then after I lose a game or two sell it up straight away and take a look at that prem team. :p The beauty of having some dollar lying around ey.

Crazy that Dan. Must have splurged at least £600 into the game, probably more. His own fault tbh, weak password or just gave it away. Unless EA's site is easily hacked then nothing but his own fault.

A bit harsh, no other game gets hacked like FUT, it's down to EA having **** security imo
 
It's those stupid 'forgot your password' questions. Nobody realizes that they're insanely easy to guess. I just use a different password for the answer to my question.
 
anyone want a cheap evra? i cant shift him even for 11K. formation is 5-2-1-2.

also, i have a couple of players that are not the formation im playing in but i still ahve 100 chem, will the players be affected?

No one knows. People have a thing about only having 9 individual chem but I've never seen a problem with 7 or 5 tbh
