BF3 In game Frame rate causes issues such as stuttering, Msi Afterburner frame rate limiter does not. Google the above ^
I don't use either, hate any tearing full stop
at 60fps limit i get tearing, 55 or 62, none.
Havent had any crashes yet with this beta version of AB. Renaming rtcore.cfg helped a lot with bfbc2 and the last official version of AB. I kept it renamed when bf3 was released.
So, went on LtMatt's server for the first time tonight. Operation Metro was... interesting. Was about 5v5 until we were down to around 250 respawns, then picked up. Strangely enough, the more people appeared, the more RPG spam started happening
Ended up getting 35 ribbons overall, which ain't too shabby. Scored just under 24k after unlocks/ribbons.
Yep, i named it setter lol. It prevented a lot of crashes where the game would emit a loud brrrrring sound before locking up and requiring a hard reset. Bfbc2 suffered from a few other issues as well, above x4 aa on certain nv drivers caused issues as well. But by renaming rtcore i never had anymore brrrring lock ups.You can just rename it for whatever you want?
And when you say "helped a lot" you mean that the crash could still occur, but less often?
Textures maybe but everything else changes in game and the difference is tiny.Thought I'd try ultra again after playing with high settings the last few weeks, hoping performance would be better with new drivers and patches etc...
Those saying there isnt a big enough difference between high and ultra are just plain wrong.
Massive difference! Try playing for a few weeks at high settings and then switching back!
Your be blown away!
Those VTEC guys were annoying.
Yeh, thanks Neil

Also, with you don't wanna use MSI Afterburner, you can limit your FPS using the command "gametime.maxvariablefps <int>"
Limit it to 59, for 60Hz monitors or 119 for 120Hz.
Also, what would be the best AMD driver and CAP for CrossfireX with this game?
