Hmm doesnt seem to be working for me, i have tearing and lots of stutter.

I saved it as all files. Didnt make a difference, tried 62 still the same. Gonna try 55 but im not holding much help. I wonder if running the cfg and vsync might be better.

Just overwrite the .cfg file.

You'll have to re-save it as user.cfg. Win7 has a funny "hide known file extensions" so it might try to auto save it as user.cfg.txt for you, in which case you'll have to go into folder options and tell it to stop hiding known extensions.

Also, softcore metro? Really? I thought your server was cool!

I'll try it ta.

I run two rounds of metro softcore in the mornings to get the server going. Then the vote map option kicks in along with hardcore mode. :cool:

Ok tried again, still doesnt work for me. What did fix the stutter and tearing was enabling vsync but keeping the config file. The limit fps option in afterburner is a no go it seems.

The repair tool kill and vehicle destory i found pretty easy ! The only ones i found annoying were the BTR kills (trying to find a map with it on and then trying to get in the thing) and the squad deathmatch wins.

If you dont mind cheating a little you can change squad right near the end of the map to get the win

In other news bristol rovers will be playing aston villa today at 5:30pm, its on epsn sadly so i cant watch it on sky but will have to find another way to watch it, ahem.

However ive heard its on virgin media for free this weekend.

Download the LATEST msi afterburner Beta 10

Go to Settings - Monitoring, Pick an option in graph to monitor ( frame rate is a good test ), and show in on screen display. The on screen display icon should load up, click on the on screen display and click the PLUS sign. Select the BF3.exe to make a new profile. Then select below..

Select 55FPS for framerate limit..

Copy this file into your battlefield 3 directory, BACK UP YOUR OLD USER.CFG FIRST to another directory!!.

. Was funny when you first did it and done it too slow, so it was a combination. Pity you cant do that, but still keep it as non HC in server list, so it still fills up.

Thats pretty much how i got my 5 wins.

Just changing onto the squad that was winning as soon as one of them left. I'm pretty decent, so can help the squad win. But its pointless trying to get the win when you've got people in you squad who are rank 8 going 1 - 10 and stuff. Unless you have a match like this of course :

Does it let you do that? On conquest I've tried to change teams to squad up with people I know before and it says I can't because it's near the end of the round. I figured they'd have something similar in place for SDM.

Thanks Neil. I did all that you posted and it didnt work. I'll try again with your cfg file though just incase i messed up somewhere.

Yeah ive tried to find ways around it but its just not possible.

Yeah this fps limit just doesnt produce good results for me. However vsync on and the cfg has removed some stutter during intensive moments, i think.

Typical. After spending most of yesterday trying to fix graphics card problems I finally get a working game running on Matt's server and then my router faceplants. I get that fixed, and the server is full with a queue.

You'd almost think it was a sign.

yup but once you get onto a winning squad you can have a good run until people in your squad leave or the other teams imprvel

Agreed. That way you don't end up with dummys on your team going massively negative bringing your score down.

Thats one of the great things about conquest - no matter how crap your team is and how negative they go, as long as you have enough nouse to cover over half the flags with the few good players you do have, you'll be fine and still get the win.
