If you're fast enough as well, you can use melee attack when running in to someone. I managed to get Matt with it a few days ago, as we surprised eachother so I hit melee

Nonsense! Just press it once with a gun out and it'll do the animation. But tbh, knifing someone is boring and should only be done on real life enemies when you see when in game

do you have guided shells unlocked for the tank? if so go as sniper with soflam and when you get a tank get to somewhere near the enemy and quickly get out of the tank, deploy soflam and jump back in.
I've done it a few times and it does help

Also CITV top station as the last tank unlock will also lase targets including helicopters and jets. The Guided shell is too slow to chase after jets but blowing choppers out of the sky with it is most satisfying.

So fun watching you hit the tail of the heli and it just flips. Pity not many people team up with CITV and tanks, hence me getting SOFLAM to work with tanks.

Haven't got it yet but will do that when I do. It's just annoying when i'm sniping, sitting in a good position on a hill with soflam out and mashing Q and people are just running around like its MW3. I needs to get me in a decent squad for some points.

Because it's the most useless and boring position in the game. Imagine sitting in a turret that has no gun, a zoom thermal mode, and the ability to tag enemy vehicles for a whole round. When does this mode turn out to be a benefit? Ah yes when a helicopter flies over and it can tag it. Whoop dee doooo, tag anything else doesn't benefit the guided shell and you still have to hope the enemy vehicle is in range and not above the tank turret's maximum angle.

I wonder what would be more fun, sitting doing that, or a repair/rpg combo?

Meh it's boring as hell. So what you came top? How was sitting spotting things all day actually fun? It doesn't work when you try it with average joe bf3 player, but no clearly I'm clueless compared to a pubstar? :rolleyes:

It's one of those rubbish ideas that Dice had to try and find a role that can make the game have something one can describe as being better than BF2 for.
