the whole taking an age to shoot the ball was added into the game, i think it's there to help stop pace abusers, etc. same with the whole taking an age to control over the top through balls, it literally takes 2 seconds and by then the defender usually catches you, the only bad point to this is that the game cannot differentiate between CB's and ST's and a lot of the time your CB is caught by the striker, meaning a one on one which usually results in a goal.

if you hit it wide it's your own fault, but if you get tackled it's due to the game engine, same with getting bundled over, usually if they win the ball in such a situation the player ends up swiping at thin air or falling over.

the game is always going to be flawed, you just have to get used to the engine and use it to your advantage if you can.

there will always be something to complain about in every game you buy, you should see the amount of people complaining in the MW3 thread, it's on a daily basis. EA are a really bad company overall imo, but they do take a lot of notice of stuff posted on the EA forums, the place to moan is on there, not in here.

i assume your talking about Naldo.

the reason why is because - aggression, jumping and positioning/vision/tact awareness are far more important than height and heading accuracy which is the only thing he has.

learn the game engine and learn how to pick players based on that.

Chiellini is seriously crap in this game compared with last year, he is better used as a RB or LB than a CB.

Naldo is better as a ST or CDM than a CB.

there is a reason why i use Kaka as an ST in my liga bbva team who is completely different to Ibra and Pato from my Serie A team.

you need to "cherry pick" players for each position and formation to suit your own style and play. usually other peoples recommendations are a 50/50 chance of whether it will work for you or not, i do believe the engine is a lot better this year overall.
 
I've played with more than just Naldo, had pretty much every good CB in the game and they all lose ridiculous headers to Aguero, Pato etc. it's just silly.

The awful first touch defenders do when they beat the striker to the ball that allows the forward to just take it in his path and through to a 1on1 is also absolutely retarded.

it's retarded if you can't figure out the simple thing to do in such a situation is every time a high ball is played to one of your back line, do not let him try and control it, hit it away or to another player near him first time, (away from the striker), never ever control it or try and keeper it. but some players like chiellini cannot do this, they miss the ball 95% of the time, so you need to use Lucio or Silva instead.

i now play the ball first time and guess what, no more ridiculous lol'ing by the opposing player as your CB controls the ball like Heskey.

i can honestly say the BPL is seriously bad for CB's, the best ones in that league are Luiz and Toure or Richards (a RB).

Serie A - Silva and Lucio are the only combo i have used which works 99% of the time.

Liga BBVA - Pepe (although he is bad for over the top high balls sometimes) and Ramos (a RB) are the only combo worth using. If you can afford their IF's even better, especially Pepe as he can be a bit shaky at times.

who are your CB's and try and play it first time from now on.
 
Don't agree with it being only an issue with particular players, it's happened with every team I've ever used and I've played with all 5 big leagues as well as the lesser leagues like Portugal and Russia and then various silver squads like South Korea, Scandinavian etc. It happens with everyone at some point.
 
Best CB's I have used are: Chiellini, Lucio, David Luiz, Kompany. Going to buy Pepe and Chiellini when I buy my team.

Some others I like are Sakho and Mexes. I'll update the list if I can think of any more.
 
Chiellini is huge fail with high through balls, he cannot header them away (he always misses) and cannot control them either if an ST is close by.

Pepe can header them away but he cannot control them if a ST is close by.

Kompany i found poor too tbh.

Sakho and M'Bia are solid enough choices from Ligue 1, I wonder how good Sissokho would be as a CB, imagine him and Sakho together, could be a brutal pairing.

Ohh, how could i forget Abidal as a CB is very solid.
 
Don't get like that Robi. :p He knows the game well but sometimes he seems to believe his opinions are always correct.

Is the frozen loading screen problem anything to do with people disconnecting from the match before? Happened to me twice now (yesterday and just now) after someone quit and now I'm stuck on the team loading page, such a pain :/

Think it was a full month Sonny, sure I remember Andy posting it was the 14th Jan he was suspended until.

nobody knows for sure, i got the loading screen freeze playing against a mate, and he restarted his console and sent me another invite and i was still stuck on the screen. but he never restarted until i told him to do so. so it has nothing to do with them quitting as far as i know

there is no point waiting longer than 1 minute if it happens, restart and take the loss to DNF and your record, etc.
