remember that the monitor, ssd, and psu are on this week only offer that ends wednesday when new offers start.
What are you referring to ?
(PC noob, I'll guess "the mother board" ?)
No, the Dell Ultra monitor.
put the ud3p rather than the ud3 because the ud3p is black and goes with the colour scheme of the rest(case, psu etc). Is the ram you have the black or the blue version?
What did you order in the end.
That Dell monitor is a cracking deal! I would give it some serious consideration and buy it before the weekly offer ends.

It'll really do the rest of your system justice!

Yeah I think if your looking at a 6990 then you may as well wait to see how the 7970 is priced. It's not that far behind in terms of performance and will pretty much run everything at high/ultra settings at 1920*1080 without much touble. Put the savings towards a decent screen and in a year or so you could add in another 7970. Also the advantage running a single card is that you don't have to worry about drivers for SLI/Xfire and can let them mature.
Not read many reviews on the U2412M but the slightly smaller 23" (U2312HM) gets very good reviews. The screen panels are far superior to normal TN panels but they often have a slightly slower response time of 8ms )rather than 5ms on average for TN). As for whether you'd noticed it in the form of ghosting is down to the the individual user and probably the average gamer wouldn't.
Here are a couple of reviews for the Dell U2312HM which is not that competitively priced on OcUK but if you search around you can get if for £186!
