As has already been said, yes in theory he could well be charged with Accessory. Highly unlikely though.

And think your missing the point of my post, the majority seem to think he robbed petrol, EVEN though no one actually saw the guy do it

Putting false plates on a crime ? ye sure it is, but no one knows they were false for certain. And as has been mentioned "putting them over the top" not sure if that is a crime.

My whole point is no one knows what he's actually done but it's too late he's already, convicted locked up and executed by a majority GD jury

Regardless, the more rational posts have tended to point out that using false plates is a) illegal and b) suspicious, and that is what should be reported. Reporting it to crimestoppers sorts the issue, as if its nothing more than that a slap on the wrists will obviously suffice.

If, however, false plates aid further crime, then hopefully that gets cleared up as well.
