BF3 completely unplayable, get kicked 30 seconds into a server, huge thread on battlelog forums, thousands of people having the same issues.

Sigh!

had same issues yesterday....i updated PB and restarted system (this was needed) and its fine now. Was playing earlier today without any issues.

mines been running ok, seems ot be crashing more when i ever tab out of the game when changing maps.

I've noticed that my gpu gets the hotest when at the results screen, any ideas?

Now ive got 16gb of memory i can at long last disable my pagefile. With 4 and then 8gb i was not able to disable my pagefile while playing bf3 without eventually getting a low memory crash. I do alt tab a lot to use admin tools and what not, but you'd think 8gb would be plenty.

Disabling pagefile won't really help anything, could make things worse.

Manage it, don't disable it.

I have 16GB too and the best upgrade that benefited BF3 was getting an SSD.

GGGGGRRRRRRRRRR

Damn you Tibbz. Damn you. You made me think of a tiger initially. Then you made me think of tony the tiger from frosties cereal. Then you made me think of the most annoying advert and how it made life growing up a misery.

I have 16GB too and the best upgrade that benefited BF3 was getting an SSD.

But once i run out of video memory it gets loaded into my pagefile and this causes slowdowns in games and in windows.

With it disabled it seems to be using much faster system ram instead hence i dont have the problems. Had the game running since 7am this morning with no issues.

EDIT - Already have an SSD and have had the pagefile on that. It helped but it didnt solve the problem regardless of if the pagefile was on a normal hard drive or an ssd.

Oh jesus, THAT ADVERT!

MAKES ME SO MAD :mad::mad::mad:

Enable vsync. That will stop your gpu rendering silly fps on the results screen.

Its a must if you have crossfire. :D

I've no idea what vsync is or where to change it, is it in game? If its in game i just leave everything as auto as i have no idea what half of the stuff does

This.

should be in options under video, it will lock your FPS at your refresh rate.
or
Go HERE and use the FPS limiter to put a cap on your fps.

However the fps limiter didnt work for me. I had horrible tearing as soon as vsync was removed regardless of what i did with the fps limiter. Just something to look out for if you experience less than stellar results.

You're just unlucky :p. Whatever floats yer boat and works!

Here here.

I am unlucky though. Is there anyway to check how many bad lucks you've had on battlefield 3? I'd be willing to bet (not my graphics cards :p) that ive had considerably more bad luck than any of ya'all. :D
