*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

we got any idea when that 1.1 patch is coming in to play?

Soon I hope, need the level 50 seperation in BG's in order to maintain any element of fun for lowbies. Had some level 50 **** emoting /spit and telling me to leave the hutball match because I was on a level 17. Repeatedly, for the whole game, which meant all he did was follow me & abuse me whilst I ignored him, meaning he was dead last lol.

No need for it, and a very bad rep for his guild. Children eh ;)

I don't know, I proper rinse in to people on Illum, wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't banned to be honest from some of the stuff I say and it wasn't tarnished my guilds rep, people know we PvP, people that know me from other guilds over the years know I like giving/taking abuse. However I think what happened to you was wrong, we see lowbies in our WZ we moan, we grumble but that's to ourself on TS we don't flame them, unless of course they run the wrong way and throw the ball up to someone at spawn on their own team, o **** that was me... Ignore that last bit.

-edit-

Point of my post was I don't think many people care too much about their guilds rep. The only things I care about with my guild is... No one stitching a guild member up and no cheating, after that abuse/trolling it's all good.

Oh don't get me wrong, I smack talk with the best of them in open world pvp ;) I just thought the bloke was acting like an utter **** as 1) I could have actually been someone who isn't used to mmorpg's and therefore scared off from the game; 2) I was on his side; 3) He did literally nothing at all all game, and was complaining at me for being pointless?

Maybe times have changed, our guild's rep used to be something we maintained - but I'm staying unguilded in this one. For the time being at least :)

Yea' agree he was being a tool, it's why I leave the lowbies to it, could be an alt, someone's first experience of an MMO.

We had that yesterday in a WZ, someone flamed us at the end yet he was bottom of the team and did nothing basically lol.

I guess it all depends on the type of guild you're in about the rep. I know the goody two shoes guilds try and protect their rep :D

Best news EVER

The current situation with end game gear and item modifications isn’t final and, in fact, many community members like yourself have correctly guessed at what our plans to correct the current design are.

Since this is a fairly important issue to many players, let me disclose more details about what is currently in the work regarding purple items and mods:

- All partially moddable purple items will be made fully moddable again, allowing the removal of the armoring, hilt and barrel.

- The set bonus of end gear purples (PVP and PVE) will be transferable to custom items.

- Some item modifications will be restricted to a certain item type. For example, some item modifications will only fit on helmets, while other will only fit on chests, etc.

As usual, the caveats about unfinished work apply, but this should give you and the community a very good idea of our intentions. We are serious about making custom gear an entirely valid alternative to end game gear and we support the players’ ability to customize their appearance all the way to (and including) end game.

Haha, na we just never said it over /say or /general ;)

Even like the amazing starter robes :p?

(Might be a dumb question but the simplistic stuff feels more star warsy than the transformer **** at level 50)

Anything moddable (orange) you can (well will be able to) wear with the PvP/PvE Endgame mods/enhancements etc... according to that post - with some restrictions I guess.

Such as the Tier 3 PvP Armouring Mod for boots might only be able to be used in boots - so you can't farm gear and get the best stuff

I have to admit, fighting with just 1 light saber look far better animation wise and more iconical.

So raging I cant change to a juggernaught sometimes haha

The jugg armour looks better too :D

Only because you can get the black hooded outfit that was in the maruader vid :p Plus you can wear a breathing mask under it.

I'm still annoyed that's heavy armour and not medium as advertised.

I do like the single saber animations though, they're far better than with two. Such a pity some good skills require two for marauder and that dps suffers quite a bit.

The planets themselves are quite big, but you are kind of railroaded in going certain ways which didnt make a good 1st impression for me on Tatooine.

I did have fond memories of Tatooine from SWG and the freedom, you could just speed off in whatever direction you wanted and explore. Not being able to do that in SWTOR was a let down.

On balance, the planet does open up a bit later on and you get access to much larger areas - all of which have great atmosphere and quality.

Thanks for the info... pretty much what I was expecting unfortunately but the days of proper freedom are long gone in mmos i guess!

Heres hoping for guild wars 2!!
