Practise servers? So I take these don't update your stats or anything and you can play around and change your bindings freely?

afaik they do count, just that all the rubbish pilots join to get the basic unlocks etc.

Yep they do count, but they are on fast respawn and not many people join so you get free reign over the server.. Use heli and cap points on conquest to get points for it etc.
 
God damn it just found one of my plugins is causing 90% of people connecting to my server to get a black screen during loading which never goes away. :(

Thought it was dead quiet today.

Pretty sure its the adpative size one, i just checked the phogue forums and other people have complained about it getting stuck. I think thats whats been happening today.

Pain in the butt cheeks. Gonna have to rebuild it all and the config from the start again just in case. Tedious work as im sure you know.

we stopped using it as it seemed to reduce quick match traffic :S

Its been fine generally up to now. Until a new version is released ill have to remove it though i think. Will get the server setback up in the meantime. Hardcore straight off the bat with a large map rotation excluding Tehran, Damanvand and the other which no one likes. The name escapes me atm.
 
Weve been using it since day one and had no problems
and if your running hardcore you wont get any quick match players joining anyway.
 
I'll look into it tomorrow, had enough of it for today. The server is set back up and ready to go, just need to add back in the plugins.
 
I never really understood what the adaptive size mod does anway,does it reduce tickets if there is less players?

It reduces the number of player slots to make it easier to start off. People are far more likely to join an 8 player game with 2 people already in it than a 32 player game with 2. As more people join it opens up more slots.
 
Anyone playing this with SLI? if so do you get any microstutter? reason i am asking is because may get a 120hz monitor soon and wondering if SLI 580s will be smooth with it in this.

570GTX 2.5GB SLI here - no microstutter - 150fps in jets. 70-90fps on the ground - 2560x1600. everything Ultra expect xAA
 
SLI 3gb 580s here and its as smooth as silk. No microstuttering or issues apart from a few minor driver annoyances (some minor flickering with transparent AA enabled in drivers).

The game NEVER moves from my vsync of 60, regardless of how much smoke is being put down and explosions going off :)


Same here 480 sli vsync on (no mouse lag at all) and 60 solid.
 
Sli 470's here, no issues with microstutter either. Though i run with frame rate limiter at 70fps, which needs a bit of tweaking to ensure theres no tearing.

But surely if you still have 1000 tickets and 64 player conquest maps its not very adaptive.Now if reduces the mapsize to 16 player conquest and the tickets down ,it would work better.
 
Found a new thing to keep me occupied when i get bored on the 1000 ticket servers.
get a buddy in a chopper to fly you around while you (try) to drop C4 on jeeps and other vehicles only had a quick try the other night. But im definately going to give it some more practice over the weekend!

Really need to do what has was mentioned earlier and join a flying map so i can actually learn to fly my own chopper! i'm on 120 hours yet i don't think i've even spent an hour combined in all the jets and Helicopters!
