It's very easy to avoid being ganked as a lowbie. Some people chose not to avoid it when it happens, and instead react. This is why those that gank carry on, the reaction is what it's about, not the act.

Exactly. Without true PK'ers, PVP servers aren't half as fun. And this is coming from a *generally* anti-PK type

I don't get corpse camped, I know how to avoid it, I just feel sorry for those that don't and it totally ruins the experience. Whilst I understand that it is easy to say "don't play on a PvP server", some roll on it and play for the world PvP, that doesn't mean that they want to be ganked by high-level players all the time.
Anyway, it's so easy to turn the tables once you reach their level. Then the ganker becomes the gankee

I also was on Voss, was involved in world PVP actually was a good laugh.
I think it's this arrogance that has lead to me cancelling too. The 'Bank Holiday, servers closed for 8 hours, then we're going to make you queue to even use our forum so hopefully you'll complain less' really did it for me. They still refused to admit it was a bad idea as far as I'm aware.
Warfronts for mixed levels? Really? Who's idea was that? Being a 20 and getting smacked about by 50's isn't all that much fun surprisingly.
It's also quite hard to find a saber that's not either Light 1 or Dark 1 required after a certain point. I'd have kept my starter saber if I'd realised, but now my grey jedi is running around at level 27 with something that looks like a power sword out of Wh40K, because it was the only moddable weapon I could find that you could buy for cash (there was a single sabre available for nar shaddaa tokens, which I'd spent).

I doubt it. Most of the people i have seen have been polite but there are always exceptions.
Correct me if im wrong, but can't you just take out the colour crystal & put in a yellow one (of the dark/light lightsabers) & does that not change the requirements accordingly?.
I have no tried, but that would be logical - as the colour is what defines the light/dark side on sabers.
As a l50 I really hope they hurry up and make the L50's only BG - it's stupid to put low levels against L50's (hut-ball being the only one a high level can win on out of the three).
I'd mostly prefer it because on my server PVP is usually me & 1 level 50 - with the rest at L15 VS a team of L50's - it's not fair on the L50's who get lumbered with lowbies & it's even worse on the lowbies who get put against L50's.
Fun, but impossible on some maps.

Actually, we all have a good laugh over it and some of the comments people come out with give us a good giggle. People get so mad over a game bless them, some of them literally have us in tears with laughter. The little nerd ragers tears do fuel us I must admit.

Stephen Reid isn't exactly one to listen to, he continually spewed wrong information during beta and still does post launch.
On top of getting things wrong and having to elaborate after mostly everything he says that the community cares about, pssst, hire a proof reader that has some logic.
To be honest, I think most of the community caught on anyway, it's a farce they needed to hide it under the carpet and spew technicalities which, for the most part still don't make sense.
They forget you can actually play with high resolution textures in game, it takes a tenth of a second to swith to and from it (you can still do it now!) and that it should be up to the player to decide if their PC can handle it or not. (Which it can, because it did in earlier versions of the game).
Even having high resolution textures on your OWN character only would have been a good step, but hey, bioware has some very clever people but, that also comes with a lot of stupid people. Hi Gabe Amatangelo, can't even create the most simplistic PVP Scenario can you? Need the community to do it for you? It's your job and you get paid for such mistakes? Nice.
Sorry, tired of some of their excuses, it's lies ontop of lies, so many issues which are disregarded, such as tooltips being the error, not the actual skill but you can go in game and see the difference for yourself. Did they honestly think people wouldn't, you know... check? All you need is the ability to look at an icon and count.
Just to check, you do understand this is simply bullying. You're on here, boasting that you bully and enjoy it? What do you think that makes most people think about you?
Talking about community it interests me how big the sw community is in the grand scale of the actual player base.
If you want to call ganking bullying then yea I guess I do. Same thing in WZ when the same person targets you, this is also bullying going by what you've said.
Yep I enjoy corpse camping people, I love it, I love the rage it makes people have. Like others have said it's avoidable just pride and people being stubborn get in the way. Stuff like this never happens to me even though people try it... I mean many people have tried it, seriously most people are brain dead in these games.
I know what it makes people think about me and I've been creating the same feelings for 15 years now.
I agree, if this game didn't have anything to do with Starwars it would be getting a lot more hate than it already has received.

If the gamer views it as bullying, then they'll take a screenshot and report him.
I'm not really talking about what admins or devs view it as. Yes it's a game, but it's real people playing it. In real terms, it's bullying.
Yep exactly, also from what I recall Bioware have said the will not get involved with any form of world killing, it's a PvP server and it does warn you before you join the server.
So when two people try and gank me they're bullying me? Trololo!
It's simply one extreme of play within the rules of any MMORPG. Other extremes of play exist also, raiding guilds for example are a PVE version. There's not a damn thing wrong with either play style.
It's certainly not bullying, to suggest so it frankly ridiculous. The one getting ganked has the power to end the situation, and the power to not rise to what the ganker wants (abuse).
How is it not bullying? How is the suggestion ridiculous? The definition is "A person who is habitually cruel or overbearing, especially to smaller or weaker people". To me that fits perfectly.
