Discuss. I quite like it to be honest (and i'm no boxster fan)

speed / mpg and general package seems really good.

NO HOTLINKING!

"Under the bonnet (boot?) are a pair of new flat-six engines with direct-injection and start-stop tech. The new power unit fitted in the Boxster delivers 265hp from a 2.7-litre displacement - 10hp more than its larger-capacity predecessor. It is also now based on the 3.4-litre engine of the Boxster S. Said 3.4-litre S also now delivers 315hp, 5hp more than before. Both models feature a manual six-speed gearbox as standard (rather than the seven-speeder of the 991), with the seven-speed dual-clutch (PDK) available as an option.

Fuel consumption for the Porsche Boxster with PDK is 36.7mpg, and 35.3mpg for the Boxster S, while the new car can hit 62mph from rest in 5.7 seconds in non-S form and 5.0 seconds in S guise (both figures are for PDK versions).
The new Porsche Boxster will go on sale in the UK from April 28. And is priced from £37,589, (£45,384 for the S). "

<insert generic disparaging comment about Boxster here before leaving house and jumping into Ford Focus diesel>

Fox - what have I missed? :p Is my post going to unsettle the boxster hating diesel brigade? :(

.... or the "911 loving" "pure-athons" that haven't even driven one, or a boxster....

I wasn't thinking of buying one (not new anyway) just it looks like a really good proposition these days!

That looks really good. Almost a hint of Ferrari California to the headlights (in my messed up mind at least) and looks really well proportioned.

Looks amazing, but then did anyone expect otherwise? Still can't afford one, guess I must be too poor for even a so called "poor man's" Porsche ;)

Porsches are for gayers and driven by fat balding 40 year olds who have beer bellies, to many chins, small willies who think they are gods gift to everything and have massive egos and keep on about how they used to rule the world from the top. Proper men have something from Ferrari or one of them GT-R things, though GT-R owners have even smaller winkies I think as all they constancy want to tell you why it's better than your Porsche. Boxsters are for the same but usually more gay and usually for people in marketing with leather folders you see on station platforms and soft italian leather laptop bags.

This is ALL FACT!

I think it looks amazing from all angles and unlike previous models doesn't just look like a mini 911.

Can't wait for the new Cayman, hopefully that will lose its awkward looking rear end.

Will Gill isn't 40 yet, but otherwise that sounds like a spot on description.

Looks nicer than the previous model, good mpg for the speed. 911 haters are just justifying their purchase, it's a completely different car.
