*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

That's not true, i play a sith inq on Niman and every pvp match I turn up to is a faceroll win. As a lvl 17 I've had a 50/4 kd ratio and I think had 2 lost matches. Teamwork is non existent.

Besides the action pause, constant huttball and lag I really fail to see how anyone could consider SWTOR BGs the preeminent form of pvp out there.

Indeed I have a level 13 sith inq. and its faceroll steamrolling with that faction/class.

Win or lose I just find the warzones dull.

Well even though I have unsubbed my normal pre made were playing so I jumped on, in 4 bags I got boots, gloves and relic which was cool.

Also received my first e-mail from Bioware warning me about an account suspension... They mad.

HAve you got a screenie - bit interested to see there wording?

Tried Esseles on Hard Mode last night but kept getting done over by Ironfist - i think i need to upgrade my gear a bit so will finish off class story tonight and get some belsavis and ilum daily's done for some better mods/ehancements/armouring etc...

:)

Sure, don't think they liked my refined use of the English language :(

So how strict is that (can't open there TOS link from work) - i will swear in chat a fair amount, nothing to obsence just F's and S's but it's more about the situation and rarely (in fact so far never) about someone!

I don't want an email like that because I like to swear about a situation, i.e. "what the **** just happened there, how **** I need to spend 10k to repair my gear!"

difference is chk4 probably directed it at someone he had just spent an hour corpse camping, so the guy had revenge in mind or something :P i've never heard of anyone getting warned just for casual non-targeted swearing in a chat channel

vulgar, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, encourages conduct that would violate a law or in a reasonable person's view, objectionable and/or inappropriate. Hate speech is not tolerated.

- Disrupt the flow of chat in chat rooms with vulgar language, abusiveness, hitting the return key repeatedly or inputting large images so the screen goes by too fast to read, use of excessive shouting [all caps] in an attempt to disturb other users, "spamming" or flooding [posting repetitive text].

Are the only things I can see. I think it would be more situational, just depends if someone reports you. My view on these type of things though if they have a language filter in place then someone like you who is not insulting anyone shouldn't get a warning or anything.

To be honest it was more than likely what I said to either the win traders in Ilum or the pug Window lickers in huttball. Don't normally abuse those I corpse camp just the normal umad bro etc.

seems to be an awful lot of big girls out there crying over textures!

I remember when it was gameplay that mattered most, pretty textures won't make the game any better than it currently is!

You got it the wrong way around, it's the pussy footing around of the developers, the obvious denial of what's actually happening and sudden turn around. I'm fine with them as are but the way they handeled it is nothing new, but disappointing because this is exactly how bioware ran beta, events, tests and now handle live with paying customers, it shows you their ethics, the way they think.

Customer support? Hah..thats a whole new world.

Restraint is a good thing to have, which some people lack in game, at the moments notice I see(cough) some people flip into rage mode and start ****** and blinding all over the place, even in general chat.
Also being tactful, knowing where and when to do these things, but they have little care for the fact they can get suspensions and warnings for these things.
Lastly, it's not smart to act big in one place then show something else when you're found, aka, talk the talk and walk the walk, etc.

"A scrub is a guy who thinks he's fly
And is also known as a buster
Always talkin' about what he wants
And just sits on his broke ass"

And you DEFINITELY can't get with TLC ;)

That is what I always think of when I see it - wasn't sure if it was MMO slang for something!

Also - my biggest pet peve with the game so far is people calling companions PETS... ARGH!!!!!!!

Hehe ay,

But I believe that's because there is no shorthand for "companion" - which is clearly too long for MMO players to type that often.

:D

I do it too, but it's because I've played pet classes for over 10 years, I don't care really, mostly everyone knows what I mean and mostly everyone else makes the same mistake, it's automatic, I can't help it. But I do correct myself when people don't understand.

Ah well happy, finally got the Darth title last night at 48, going to take a break from my Sith Assassin till the weekend and lvl my BH merc, still loving this game more than I did when I first started WoW
