*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

Is the possible to download and patch the client without the game? i wanna prepare for the trial but cant get past the launcher login screen without an account.

I recently changed server. My original server, at best, had about 30 people in the fleet, which made getting groups a pain. This new server has over 160. It's nice to see so many people, and people actually looking for goods regularly.

It'd be nicer to actually see them as well, but on my aging system fleet chugs when there are more than 5 people with pets (ahaha) in view. Im not upgrading till the 78xx come out.

Enjoyed playtime last night, my 20 inq is getting interesting and quite viable in pvp beyond standing there and blasting everything. I reckon the patch on the 17th is going to be a real make or break moment for the game. Will it be enough to drag in subs? Should be interesting.

So glad I stuck with frostclaw, I can certainly understand why they were forcing the issue with the server distribution. I just hope they give people the option to move server - would suck to have a level 50 character stuck on a dead server. Not that there is much reason to do anything at 50 anyway. Quite enjoying my sorc alt though :)

Maybe I'm a retard but I just read that info as it not being server specific forums but clusters of servers forums?

If that's how it is they really don't seem to have much of an idea of how to run things like this. Every mmo I've payed, up until now, has had a forum per server.

On wow the server forums were dead, and mainly used for guild recruitment, no real sense of community at all. Perhaps they're clustering them together to keep them more active, I can imagine that a fair few servers have quite a low population and considering that only a small percentage of players use the forums this could be a sensible step.

yeah the server specific forums were completely dead. better off with a battlegroup forum instead.

That was because Blizz killed off all sense of realm community with x-realm BGs and Dungeons. Before they came about the realm forums were busy.

Ones on SWG seemed to be fine until the game died :D
