**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

Well, ive just ordered one without doing too much research!
I just didnt want something huge like Galaxy S2 etc.

Hope it will be a good phone (beads of sweat on forehead)

Mine turned up today, charged it and played around, battery lasted only around 5 hours, I knew the battery life needed fixing prior to ordering, love the phone, screen is amazing and thats coming from an iphone 4s!

Love the phone so far just hope they fix the battery life quickly.

If you have the 11501 sw then you have the battery fix.

If you have this update and still get shocking battery life then contact Nokia care.

Installed Zune and checked for update and it tells me my phone is up to date.

Current software version: 7.10 (7740)

Is this the latest update?

Took the phone off charge yesterday around 6pm, have not used it since, checked this morning and still claims to have 100% remaining.

What does it say under firmware revision number?

The latest should be: 1600.2483.8107.11501

Have to disagree with you there. I flashed mine to 11501 and the battery initially charged right up to 1477mAh. All was good for a day or two, but now the Full Charge Capacity keeps dropping. Woke up today and Full Charge Capacity was reported at 1298mAh. I seem to have lost 200mAh now, which is even worse the the previous firmware (I could reach 1310mAh on 11451).

It's possible I have faulty hardware, but I'm not completely convinced I do as there are others over at XDA reporting the same issues. I have a feeling the Nokia update coming soon is going to be different than this 11501 firmware update.

I may be wrong though and, if I am, I'm taking this phone back and getting it replaced!

Wait for the newer FW to update and then see how it goes.

Huh? Not following...

I am on the latest firmware - I flashed the phone though Nokia Care Suite. I'm running the 8107 update with 11501 firmware (this is the one which hasn't rolled out on Zune yet, but is available on Nokia's firmware servers for download).

As quoted in my previous post, if you still have issues, contact Nokia Care.

People still running on 11451 need to wait until the update is available to go to 11501. OR contact Nokia care as apparently they are offering replacement handsets.

Can anyone help, I want to save my phone numbers from the phone to the new micro sim, how am I going to do this for back ups sake? I truely cannot find an option to copy them over, despite someone above saying how "easy" it is?

And whilst I'm here, can you make the phone vibrate for more than one second when on silent for texts etc?

I'll answer my own questions here:

The answer is no to both!

It seems whilst this is such a powerful phone, some of the basic functionality of a mobile phone is missing. The above and not being able to bluetooth files from phone to phone for example is a bit of a let down.

I see what people are saying when it's a half assed job of a phone in a way. Powerful, fluid movement, good speed and plenty of features....apart from the simple PHONE stuff :)

You can save your numbers to windows libpve account. Then import them.

Bluetooth stack was updated with mango, so I expect it will be updated again in next release. Hopfully then you'll get Bluetooth transfer.

Although microsft is concentrating on cloud and seems to be ditching older tech. Similar to what apple is doing. I think it's part can't be bothered with doing stuff o,d fashioned way to make sure people embrace the future and partly security reasons, so joe public don't blame them. Or the other portion is wp7 is just a test bed(used to gather info, public critique and devlope the market and the market place) and w8p will blow it out the water and add all this stuff.

Just want to test something, after a full charge how long does it say is left before recharge is needed on the hours counter?

I still can't see how I get the numbers from the phone or windows live onto my sim, short of sticking it in my old phone with the adapter for backups sake however this doesnt let me add new numbers on I guess.

Simple flaws on a powerful phone, nevermind you tend to live with stuff dontcha :)
