Gears of War 3 Dated (Official blah blah)

There's an serious xp glitch available. The 5% wave bonus re occurs if you fail the wave. So people are turning on turbo controllers and going out. People are playing 20 or so waves gathering up cash and then leaving it running.

This is allowing people to get the horde big money onyx medal (5 million) every wave. Some people are getting it 3 or more times per failed wave :eek:

So once you get to 5 million you just keep dieing and get atleast one onyx per wave. People are then going from level 60-100 in a few hours.

Epic yet again drop the ball.
 
Sod it I may as well do the same, I will leave the lobby open but I'm going money and xp whoring. Level 1 to 39 with mutators on and then just keep reloading level and dieing.

I only have 15 levels to go so may as well chimp it as well.
 
I'll tag along then :p. I was thinking earlier about this as I played a bit in a private lobby alone and noticed the 5% boost when the wave restarted.

After 100 rounds 1000 turns into 131,000, another 100 rounds and it's 17 million.

Approx 1 min a round (30 seconds to die,30 seconds to count in).

I want to get it first mate or I will have to wait for 3 players to die, I cannot see why after I get it I can't gift the money and you or someone else continues picking up the interest?
Basically I'm only going to be getting the xp from the big money onyx medal :)
 
No, no. That's cool. I was just hoping there was a lazy way to get to 100 easily. I guess I'll just have to put the hard work in! I played hoarde tonight and got to level 63 I think. Hoarde is much more fun when there's a decent amount of cash for fortificaions. I think there's a little too much in this event to make it fun longterm (and is it quite a bit easier?) but if hoarde mode was a little more generous I think I'd play it a lot more often. It was my game type of choice when I first played Gears 3.

I agree the trouble is Lambents on boss waves. It's almost pointless buying anything other than the odd turret because they destroy the lot in 1 minute.

Any time I get a good base built up you can bet a Lambent zerker will be the boss.
 
100k difference at start meant Danny got 126 medals and I only got 37. Ah well still plenty of XP and managed to fully upgrade everything except silverback.
