Who here owns a Renaultsport?

The Admiral group are good (personally I'm with Bell). Renewal quotes are always high, I guarantee that you can get them lower.

For me, the routine is Bell send me a renewal quote, I go online and build a new quote with the same details that comes out much cheaper. I then phone Bell, the nice woman on the phone compares the quotes, says she will "just need to check with a manager", puts me on hold for a couple of minutes, comes back and sets up my renewal with the cheaper price I found online.

I did it for the 5th consecutive year a couple of months back :)

Insurance companies make a lot of money out of people just accepting renewal quotes.

I'm exactly the same, but with Elephant. My renewal has come through at £980 though, not a chance I'm paying that.
I really should see what Sky Insurance would offer me as I'm a CS member...

Don't even need to be a member. The only ask you if your a member of a car club, not who with, usernames etc.

I'm with Adrain Flux, and they're pretty decent good for mods too.

Theres a lad at work selling one a 182 for £3000, 55 plate with 55000 miles on. Had timing belt etc done within the last 5k. Its been sitting in his garage for about 7 month since hes been Cycling to work and just using his wifes golf.

Part of me is tempted!

TYRES!

So going to get a new set of tyres soonish, and it really is confusing me ever so slightly. The Clio as far as I'm aware likes a stiff sidewall.

The Hankook V12s are meant to be decent and are meant to be similar to PE2s and at £65 are a complete bargain!

Though there is always the YOKOHAMA AD08 which come in the right size (205-45-16s?) and seem to offer amazing levels of grip in the dry.

Now of course my question is, is the price difference, £200, going to warrant the upgrade? Will I see an extra £200 worth of grip. Also how long are the AD08s going to last roughly? 8k miles? So about a year worth of driving.

Can't comment on the Yokohamas, but I'll always rate V12s. They come in at the same size as the AD08s from most tyre websites and are a bargain.

My tyre experience on Clios is Toyo T1R and Uniroyal Rainsports.

I know some dont like the Toyo's but I rate them. I know on a very tight corner you can feel the sidewall flex but that never bothered me and they did alright around Rockingham last year too

no no no, buy my 172 off me for £1800 :D

Picking up a 182 FF on Thursday, providing everything goes to plan. Needs the wheels powdercoating and also a few touch ups on the bodywork but is in good order. Will post pics/details when I actually have it :) I will be looking for someone to pop over with an RS tuner  payment in beer/meat/cash ofc.

You'll have to buy the map/code/thing directly from that guy (can't remember his name, think it begins with H) as I think each one can only be used once. Welcome back to fold ;)

Henk? from memory. Remap isn't as much as a priority as the wheels. Dear lord.

You'd need to buy 2 licenses if you want to remap using the RSTuner, one for your car and one so that the owner can re-pair it with their car once your done.

How do you resync keys on a 182?

Went to leave it running on the drive and lock it with the spare this morning to defrost it, but my spare key won't remote lock/unlock it. The red light comes on though, so I guess it's just lost sync.

Cant use the remote when the car is running.

I press the lock button on the dash with the drivers door open then lock the drivers door with the key. I guess you would have to do the same but from the passenger side.

I believe you can still get the codes for the RS Tuner, from fastchip.nl. I have never used one but the whole process seems to be a pain from reading on CS

Warm water in a jug, poured over the windows. Cleared in 10 seconds with no need to mess about locking the car while running, etc...
