I bought Farcry 2 inthe steam sale, expecting something as good as the first Think i managed 20mins before i gave up :(

As for 2012 theres no hype train for anything really.
 
Alan Wake in the next 6-8 weeks on Steam. It needs a DX10 or higher GPU any DX9 GPU's made before 2005/6 are unsupported so minimum specs are low it also uses 4K textures so gfx should be reasonable :)

Street Fighter vs Tekken should be pretty good.
