New Car..... Inspire me!

There is no chance that this car has a big tax bill owing on it. It's for sale from a performance car dealer, the price is £19995 not £19995 + £5000 tax.

Well I thought it COULD be exc tax because the next cheapest 2010 Camaro is 25k and that has 38 000 miles on it, and the one after that is 28k with 35 000 miles no it.

I know its not done in the uk but many of the cars out here in europe are sold tax free. People fiddle the VAT one way or the other especially on high end cars.

Next time you are out in eastern europe have a look and you will so many cars have a "dog cage" in the back as you can see here

That way it is classed as a "Van" and given N1 status so you can claim back 100% of the VAT because it is for "business use". Prague is full of cars like the BMW X5, XC90's, porsche cayenne's, VW golf's, Audi A3's like this.

What an awesome piece of machinery for the money.

Not sure if it has the STAND OUT appeal the OP is after unfortunately. The sensible money would go on something like this. But again I don't think the OP is after sensible.

Least you saved the thread from the Mazda 6 and Focus RS shouts ;)

The sensible money would go on a Cat D write off RS4 with insane running costs?

Is this some new definition of the word sensible?

Didn't see is was a Cat D. I thought it was suspiciously cheap!

Shall read the full description in future, instead of gazing at the photos!!

My RS4 isn't Cat D, we'd get it on budget too, maybe a little under if you ask nice. I'm just saying...

New boots all round
New disks all round
New pads all round
Just serviced and air valve replaced
Pulling like stink again
Full book of stamps
Some tax

oh yea, 105K miles, needs some wheel treatment but other than that sound....new glovebox hinge going on this week after wife opened it to rapid.....

Fank you very much, much love

That black RS4 is in a rather crap state. Looks good in the pics, but I've seen it a couple of times in real life now. Just like most Cat D cars, it just doesn't look "right"

This is something people just dont seem to realise - loads of cars which look 'mint' in Autotrader adverts end up being really rather horrible when you see them in the flesh. If something looks 'mint' and is cheap, its probably not what it looks like sadly.

Oh man.. If you parked that up somewhere busy you'd never get out for the people around it :p

Actually a good shout :D Manual boxes are a bit pants in 'em though but good fun to drive and surprisingly refined. Do need an aftermarket exhaust too, too quiet stock!

No room at all in the back though.

If its on US plates it won't have

Road Tax
MOT
or be Registered.

Just doing all of those is going to add a nice little lump on the top. Even if its not a tax bill its cheap because theres actually a few grand more to pay to turn into a UK car (presumably needs some kind of SVA or whatever to check it out as well ? that will cost)

Its so much cheaper than the rest of the market, i doubt its just £550.

If its that cheap, why wouldnt the dealer do it so that he could charge more ? i don't know enough about the import of US vehicles, but we must be missing something otherwise the dealer would have done all this for the prospective buyer.

Its being sold by a performance car dealer. He probably just took the photos when it was fresh in!

I'd be suprised if the price isn't a complete on-the-road-drive-away price.

ahem

UNREGISTERED IN THE UK STILL ON AMERICAN PLATE

Why is is it still on US plates ? and why is it so cheap ? Apart from this, the cheapest 2SS on sale is £29k and its a year older.

Whoops :D

That'll teach me :p

Amazed a dealer wouldnt want to capitalise on his trade contacts and vastly increase the appeal of the car by making it ready to drive away!?
