I just got a full new build :p
I'm just being a wang, but in one of my groups of riding buddies, two guys literally just bough nigh on IDENTICAL Carbon V-10's inc kashima Fox 40's and so forth... entire specs identical. Another one of my friends bought the exact same build as me, same colour. The only difference is the wheelset and I have slightly different coloured forks.

We look like a right bunch of knobs out riding, kinda like the world's worst race team :D so I'm selling mine to get a another full build makulu, at least in another colour.

It's not just all about colour though, I HATE how shimano shifts and fancy the X.0 10 speed stuff that comes on the 2012 Makulu, so...this is now for sale

ONly difference is that I'll be selling it witha white stem, in stead of the one pictured.
Full BOS/Formula the one build at a low £2850!

Just look at what the seat alone cost.

Trouble is, it's well hard selling anything at the moment... really is hard. No one has any money and I can;t go lower than that!

quite possible my dream bike right there :)

Santa Cruz V10 carbon's? You guys ride the most expensive high end bikes and kit. I bet you get lots of questions while out on the trails?

The Mega is more than enough for me right now though. Good luck with the sale

Dont meant they can ride them :D (im sure they can tho)
Would you sell the frame on its own Cow?
I can't make my mind up whether I should get a dedicated DH bike, or keep using the SS2. Even though I can keep up with my mate on his Norco DH bike.....
PS: you're a k**b for spending that much on a seat that you hardly sit on :D

Im looking at picking up a decent bike cheap to get back into cycling will be used on flat ground till im fit enough then back out onto the gravel and wooded tracks. Been offered the below at a price of around £150 second hand. Does it seem like a good deal?

Saracen raw 2
halo wheels with continental tyres
rockshox dart forks
quad hydronic disc brakes
Shimano deore group set ( shifters and mechs )
truvativ crankset
zoom bars
New gear cables a new rear mech hanger and a service

Sounds good to me but can get a brand new Claud Butler Trailridge for £175 so trying to decide on if second hand would be a better idea any thoughts for anoob appreciated.

Hi yes thats the one but I seen it local not on ebay so guess he has it up there as well. Read a few reviews that seem to say the frame is a bit poo but would it do me for riding around on cycle paths and the occasional woodland track im just trying to get some exercise? :)

Think I will probably give it a miss. Can you give me any suggestions on what to go for max budget is 200 but the less the better was the Claud Butler Trailridge for £175 any good or rubbish?

Dave, take a look at these and keep an eye on them:

There's loads on ebay around your budget :)
Can you save a little more and get some a bit better, if you can save and stretch your budget now; you can get a bike that will do you for now and for light off road riding too :) saving you in the long run.

Cheers im really short so 18" frame is already pushing it heh but cheers for the bike links wil try find a model like that last one locally.

The seat came with the full build - I'd never spend that on a seat. I wa just trying to show that not just the BOS + Formula is expensive on the bike, there's a whole load of other bits n bops that drip quality.

Yeap, I'd sell the frame by itself (inc shock of course), I'll PM ya. As for needing a DH bike - as I've said before, nope you don't... but it's a shed load fun riding one. Besides, you live in Wales, plenty of good riding that could justify it and you;d leave your mate dead in the water ;)

As for the two V10 carbon owners ... well they are new riders, it's the one's first DH bike and the other guy's second (though they have only been riding a year) They are making up for lack of experience with enthusiasm and balls. Who cares though, the vast majority of riders are "over geared", some more than others :)

Supercow, do you live in the loaded biker triangle?

Well, I guess it's all about the priorities. Some guys are better off than the others, but in our extended group pf riders, there's always someone selling/buying or knows someone type of scenario.

Some of the guys with more expendable income do go through bikes and parts like mad, then the others pick it up for peanuts :p thus the "level of gear" for the entire scattered group is quite high.

As I mentioned before too, some are World cup team mechanics and others work in shops... so there';s always some under the table dealings going on :D

Besides, we down South might not have all the riding, but we get paid better than you peasants up in the backwater towns/cities you come from!!! :D:D

New bling for the Mega:

photoras.jpg

Superstar AM490 rim, Sapim race spokes on a Switch Evo Hub. Complete with upgraded 9mm through axle (allot thicker than the regular QR skewer it's replacing)
The hub can be adapted to any axle size up to 20mm so I'm future proof there.

Nice, got the black spokes too, i wish i did lol my wheels have silver spokes, black rims and green hubs lol its odd but it looks good, ive also got the 9mm thru axle, while it does make it stiffer, my Revs are still flexing like hell and is noticable going round corners or heavy pedaling as the front disc starts to rub in the caliper, going straight its fine :( - But as you say, future proof front and rear hubs, bearings are cheap as chips too (on the bay).

Ive got Avid Juicy 3's on my giant reign atm. Frankly I think they're pretty pap, limited feel and not much power. I'm tempted to upgrade to something else, are there any brakes that really stand out as an upgrade, or Gould I just bleed the Avid's and hope they improve?
