I think it is about perspective and context.

It may be offensive, but then when is simply being offensive been illegal.....if it was then we would have no comedy circuit for starters.....and people like Richard Dawkins would have locked up long ago.

I don't think offending someone is the same as down right insulting or having a go at them based on nothing more than what they look like. Regardless, it's a pretty poor insult. If you want to exercise your right to offend someone then please put a little effort into it ;)

Like I said it is about perspective, and calling someone a ***** and a scumbag on Facebook is not really worth comment or court time.

How do you measure how someone is insulted by an offensive term or define how severe an offensive term is...do you not think that Christians are deeply insulted by Richard Dawkins calling them retards and allowing people like Pat Condell a platform on his Foundation website......

If calling a group ****** and scumbags on facebook is to be considered illegal then people like Pat Condell and his ilk should also be considered guilty of the same crime......

Travellers are not a race. At best their a social group. But one that does nothing but cause misery and problems for any area they infest. I'm sure not all of them are bad, but the majority of them are theiving leeching scum that should herded into one place, locked up and left to rot.
 
Am I missing something here? the only reason not to insult a ***** is if they're stood in front of you lol
