Er.. Sarcasm detector is a bit haywire on this one? But I'll bite - if you willingly quit, you're not going to be given anything for quite some time (6 months or so? Can't remember off the top of my head).

As of February 2011, 371,000 people - out of a total of 5.5 million - claiming working-age benefits had been non-UK nationals when they first registered for a National Insurance Number

So, around 6.7%. The issue here is that 54% of those people are now officially British citizens, so there's no way to tell (with that data) the current % non British national claiming.

Which is no doubt why the official figure of 370,000 is a gross underestimate of the true number of immigrants who claim benefits, especially if you use the broadest definition of immigrant where it would easily be in the millions.

I'm an immigrant, but I have also been British from the first day I set foot in this country exactly 10 years ago.

It depends on what standard of living you're happy with. Having to pay no rent or mortgage for starters is a bonus. Pop out a couple of sprogs and that's a bit of extra cash to spend on a plasma TV, fags and booze.

Some people are happy to do the above and watch Jeremy Kyle but it's something I'd not fancy. Saying that, some people on benefits are put up in accomodation way beyond what I could afford to buy or rent privately.
 
I have been saying for years that immigrants come to the UK for the socialist benefits. What this article or research does not show is that amount of immigrants that enjoy government benefits other than actual benefits, like free education, nhs and other facilities.

As i have said before, they don't come to the UK for the beaches or the weather.

When you see some of the ugly skankbags near me with kids, the first thought is why would anyone have sex with that :(

There is only one motive and it's not just foreigners who abuse it. The only solution is a mass sterilisation of these types.

And why do we let low skilled workers in the country anyway?!?!?
 
My theory is that labour allows the low skilled immigrants in the country to saturate the voting public with unintelligent people who want free things from the government. This way the more uneducated immigrants that come in to the country, the more votes they will get when they run on the premise of more free stuff for everyone.

I also find that the government offices are always full with non white british. I have only been to government officers in southampton and london and in both cases they were full with non with British, staff wise. The one i went to in london/camden for my national insurance there was not one white British person staff member and the person who did my card spoke poor english.

Not to mention the north african tv license thug that wants to search my premises for television receivers.

Because the natives would rather claim benefits than work a low-skilled job.

But more lower skilled jobs would mean higher wages and more incentive to work, then that would create inflation i suppose. It's all one big merry-go-round anyway.

Surely we have enough added culture from the ones that actually work and pay taxes?

I don't think we should have to subsidise a percentage of the population just for the sake of "added culture".
