I'll re-up again when someone finds another nice easy exploit or glitch :p Trying to force myself to work on some of the easier ribbons I'm missing but can't be bothered yet.

Is that the complete collection? And does the DLC come on the disc or is it just redeemable codes? Might snag it cheap and do the extra co-op stuff with you.

Redeemable code for 19 extra maps and extra campaign content. £7.95 brand new delivered. I will hold off the co-op stuff :)

Them giving "fast and fair dedicated servers" to people that buy this game brand new. If you were to go out and buy it tomorrow then you'd get screwed by them. Plus it's unfair on people who paid more for the limited edition(like me) or the epic edition.
Really they should have included an online pass with the game. Buy it new and you enter the code and get servers,buy it used and you either buy the online pass or the season pass to get servers.
I can understand them doing something like this after a year or so but the game has only been out 4 months.
I know they've done this thing with the players choice playlist to cover themselves but it's still a **** thing to do. Especially for people that have bought all 3 games + DLC and had to put up with a crap online experience for the first 2.

I agree with the points for Epic editions to a point, that should come with a seasons worth of content. I suppose with limited editions they could argue you are getting extra content in the box.

I agree with the online pass system you mention too, they had it with gears 2 and it worked well.

The problem though is DLC not any of the above. When they release new maps they can't split it into playlists for people with and without the maps. With so many different map packs the user base would become too fragmented. Or you end up with a COD system where no one can play the new maps with me if I don't have the content.

Gears doesn't have the same user base, you would never get a game if they ran the same system.

Again, so who do you upset the people paying for the season pass or those that didn't?

They have little choice tbh, they have still catered for normal game owners by offering a dedicated server moshpit type experience.

To be honest if you want to blame anyone blame MS because in the beginning Epic wanted to give all this stuff away for free and keep a userbase who kept loyalty for it.

I've got a copy you're welcome to borrow for as long as you need to if you're just wanting to get the achievements. I've a copy sitting here doing nothing as I don't seem to get around to finishing off some of the achievements I don't yet have.

What a great #GearsWeekend we have coming up! “Winning Weekend” features double XP in Versus gametypes, and every time your team wins a match in Multiplayer, Horde, or Beast, you will be given bonus XP.

By popular request, Execution has been changed to KOTH in the Alpha playlist. Be sure to hop in and let us know what you think! The events start this morning at 9:00 AM Eastern and run through Monday, January 23 at 9:00 AM Eastern.
 
Ah, no worries. I might tap you up for some help with achievements then when I see you online!

Glad there are some extra XP events coming up, I think it's going to take me forever to get to level 100 though!
