They have been married for 10 years, raised 2 kids. You think that everything she ever done in a relationship is worthless? I do not see a problem here, in fact I am glad she's getting payout, it is only fair.

Pretty much any society a marriage like that which officially has to be ended leaves the woman much better off for putting up with nonsense.

She's entitled to half, regardless of the amount.

If he was worth 100k and she got 50k the OP wouldn't give 2 ****'s, bottom line.

Seems to be you have more of an issue with the money side of it... guess you don't feel the wealth is distributed evenly enough...
 
Surprised a lot of people think settlements like this is fair game.
Regardless of who did what, though if it was the other way around? He'd probably drop her in a moments notice without so much as a thanks.

Just because it's law doesn't make it right, but most people seem to think it is, another sad state of society, rules made by us don't always make sense. Also you can never, ever, ever be certain the other party hadn't ever done the same. But hey, nobody cares right.

But yeah dawg, prenups.
