i was hoping they wern't any good!!!! Damn you hahaha i kinda stopped using single shot pistols in favour of the burst fire and full auto pistols!
BTW i found out if you join EA's gun club you unlock the M1911 though im not sure if it's all 3 or just the basic pistol. I'll prob sign up i just hate getting more Spam for the sake of a gun i may not use!

Yeah its a cracking pistol also my fave, saved my bacon loads of times after my rifle mag has emptied has a decent range also, tap tap tap goodbye soldier

Shows how much bs we were fed during previews!
To be fair they delivered on most of it but the netcode is bloody awful.
They really do need to turn down the sun glare though, it's absolutely ridiculous, especially when the some of the model soldiers are wearing wrap around shades.
It's pretty clear they started with a vision, one that could only be realised on PC and next generation consoles and they nerfed it because of the crap hardware in the 360 and PS3.
My one last hope is that DICE do a faithful port of 2142 to Frostbite 2 for PC only and let us have that at least. Oh and server side hit detection.

that's correct, sorry thought it was part of the battle log (same thing to me lol) it does give you all 3 variants! silenced is my fav.

indeed, i tried the auto pistols and they are pants unles your close enough for a stab kill anyway, i prefer using my pistol at medium range. and the 1911's are very accurate with an acceptable range and quick depletion of the mag

Is it just me, or do the 'camo' options on the Customize screen for your soldier just not work? Like I select them, it will probably be there for a match but then just reset itself to default camo?

really? for the 360 verion they save but you have to pick them for ALL classes you want that camo for....
So it works better on the 360? Why does that not surprise me...
This is something that really does frustrate me. BF3 could have been an absolutely classic game if it wasn't for EA's nonsense and obsession with SP.

lol - next time you try, just select the camo for each class and see if that works

I used to bother with that but got fed up having to redo it every round. Can't be arsed to do it anymore!
