Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Sqdm in bfbc2 was amazing fun, in bf3 it feels like a chore. I done the 5 rounds for the assignment, then thought, thank god for that. Whereas in bfbc2, i looked forward to a few rounds of sqdm. Bf3 puts me in the mood for punching my monitor to bits, then i have to think, i cant afford to replace it.:o

like said numerous times if they kept it as bfbc2 did a lot of people would play the mode more often .

this is what i dont get with games companies and people who test the games.
 
Dg, bfbc2 was amazing fun, 7pm roll call on the nm server was something you looked forward too. You went on, played some fantastic rounds, you didnt care about k/d, because you were that busy enjoying it. Bf3 lacks that same feel, every round feels boring, it lags like heck, the hit reg is a joke. Theres no sense of enjoyment in it, more so since btk. Im not one to complain/moan about a game, but bf3 is really bad.

I must admit I did whinge when playing BFBC2 however there was something satisfying about controling that AT4 towards the heli or the uav ;). BFBC2 has more good memories than BF3, BF3 seems to be more of a chore and less of excitement to play again of an evening.
 
Neil, we all had our issues in bfbc2 mate. But they pale into insignifigance compared to bf3. Pre btk, the game was perfect. I actually thought it was better than bc2, btk came out and what a backward step. Im a really layed back person in games, but bf3 has me seething because of it's issues. I went on to moh the other night, a simpler game that uses the frostbite engine, way better looking than bf3, good hit reg and runs a lot smoother.

Wish I knew what DICE did to the game when the DLC was released, same as you pre BTK with that patch it was incredible, best online fps I've ever played. Everything was spot on !

BTK came out and it rapidly went down hill, half the time you don't know if you're going to have an awesome round with spot on hit reg or another round with one hit kills and taking entire rounds to kill anyone. I even watched a few new BF3 videos with others experiencing the issue.

Hopefully Feb is a good patch release
 
Aye, hopefully the new patch will adress the problems. If not, im finished with it, go back to bfbc2 and demand a refund for bf3. Besides, i could use the space on my ssd.

I must be doing something wrong. Because no matter how many times I try, I can never knife peeps who are using the mortar. :(

For some people the game is about K/D others more about teamwork.If the weapon is not banned in the server rules then why moan.
Claymores on the other hand should be banned :D

Trying to unlock stuff for recon or just generally want to learn how to snipe? Go on maps like Kharg Island etc - Wide open space for you to sit and snipe people.

/facepalm. People are complain I use scar and irnv so I switch to m16 medic and people still complain.

You don't know how many RPG or m320 I take to the face and then I decide to dish it back out.

My advice: don't be a sniper with a headlight. I see the light and aim for it it completely gives you away and provides you no benefit at all.;

I wasn't seriously accusing you of cheating. I know you, and I know you are damned good, so I like to tease...however, you have to admit, when you rock up with your scores and making some of the kills you do, its no suprise when people get suspicious.

On Seine Crossing I knew you were behind some rubble near the Market. I waited aiming just at the spot that you would emerge. I hadn't fired so I wasn't on the minimap, I was half hidden by a door, and I was in the dark - yet you came into view with your gun up looking right at me and dropped me in one shot just as I put a burst into you. Had I not known you, it would have set alarm bells ringing. One has to swallow one's pride and accept that you are just quicker or you have a blistering connection speed which gives you the edge, but dont be surprised when other people aren't so reluctant to make accusations.
 
I already knew you were there diablu if that's you. Then you hide I'll sit out exposed a little, then you inch out and I fire before you can react.

To be fair I die, a lot. The reason I get big kills is because I always spawn right into the biggest fire fights I can find and try to bag two or more before I go down. Sometimes I die more than anyone on my team but I might still finish high up in number of kills. My overall k/d shows this I think.
