What film did you watch last night?

Cowboys and Aliens. I liked it but I can see why allot of people don't. The acting I felt was a bit poor and script even worse but the action and special effects were pretty good!

Not normally my cuppa cha but seen "The Iron lady" last night and thought it was really well done was rivetted from the start, definately on my future blu rays to buy list.

Troll Hunter. Absolutely loved it despite it being somewhat cheesy and lots of shakey hand cam work. Would heartily recommend it to anyone that likes a good monster movie.

(Mark Kermode likes it too, does that give it a special seal of approval?)

Super 8 - Enjoyed it. Big budget, basic script and fairly one dimensional (exactly what you need for Sunday night viewing) however it all worked quite well. Decent action scenes, a bit of suspense, a good score and excellent acting by a load of kids. 7/10

Driver - Wonderfully filmed and the change of pace around 2/3rds of the way through was a real shock to the system, in a good way. The acting was top notch and it's good to see Cranston beginning to take roles in film as i'm a huge fan of his work. Great soundtrack and some excellent cinematography. My one complaint is that the 'main' car chase scene felt a little cliched to me, i prefered the much more unique and suspense-filled car section at the very beginning.

9/10

Warrior - I dislike MMA, in fact i dislike most films about sport, especially fighting. I came into this film pretty much expecting to hate it, something i try to avoid doing. I came out loving it despite the rather silly ending. The acting is utterly outstanding on all fronts and the fight scenes are (other than the last one) believable and very well paced. It's a bit of a silly film really but the acting and intelligent directing turn it into a very entertaining experience.

9/10

Tucker and Dale vs evil - Brilliant. I had never heard of it before but after seeing a few reviews on this thread I checked it out. Such a great twist on an age old clichéd genre and genuinely laugh out loud funny. 9/10

Burke and Hare - A practical who's who of British talent makes this comedy better somehow. Also it was directed by John Landis who can be forgiven an awful lot thanks to his 80's films. 4/5

127 Hours on Film4 as there was nowt else on.

Dude cuts his arm off, Based on a True story. +
Kept me watching on & off for most of it.
