Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

after 14 attempts i have finally given up trying to play this game online. :mad:

extreme internet lag on every server, so bad i cant move or shoot a gun.. any other game online is ultra smooth.
 
Yep its a frickin joke.. pity its not that funny but typical of EA / DICe

thankfully i only updated one of our servers as the other was full

I was using 64bit_vista_win7_r265.exe... trust me though it's the hardware!! I've had the exact same issue with BC2 and after swaping the sound card *PING* back to a kick ass system.

Regardless, just a word to the wise, give it a try if you're getting crashes.

BF3 sucks in this regard, it's possible to *very* easily out-turn Joystick fliers if you use keyboard and mouse. All of the good dogfighters I've asked in game have been using this combo. I prefer using a joystick since I think that's the way it should be done ;)

Bind spacebar to pull up in the jet.

That way you can hold spacebar while holding airbrake (S) and you will corner as fast as possible, tapping afterburner adds to your momentum through the turn.
 
Hi folks, I have a question.

If im playing BF3 and have 7000+ points ( + unlocks) and my pc/internet/the world crashes, do I lose those points?!

I'm afraid i think you do. If your game crashes, or you are kicked then you will lose those stats. If you leave yourself before the round ends your stats get saved.

If you survived to the end of round then your stats will be saved. (for that round at least)

Have you tried adjusting the Network Smoothing (latency) slider in the gameplay options? Adjusting this could fix things for you.
 
Hey guys,Not been paying much attention to BF3 news,But has anything been said officialy about any upcomming patches etc?

Really wish they would fix the random suicide bug...also the bug with the parachute not opening quick enough etc at short distances.

I've managed to quit in a few rounds and got my stats saved (explains the countless deaths when first learning to fly on practice servers! :eek:)
 
Some great games with stoned last night. Joined a losing side by 100 tickets and managed to turn it around to a 2 ticket win in the dying moments.

Next game with me and stoned playing from the start our team slaughtered them with a 300 ticket win with me and stoned being the top 2 players by some margin.

Great teamwork in the tanks, heli and jeep although stoned flying and driving could sometimes leave a lot to be desired......;)
 
Finding a good game seems to be getting harder recently. The people I have previously played with have stopped playing since before Xmas, and I'm finding the game getting increasingly boring since then. Lone play is jarg.

Maybe it's time to try skyrim.
 
Theres plenty of OCukers playing, just gotta make sure everyone joins the platoon and friends up so you can squad / join when they are online, the more the merrier :)
I had some great random games last night on seine crossing of all maps, and here was me thinking I was bored of it...!
