If you don't know 100% what you want, don't get a tattoo, for gods sake don't take suggestions.

This goes 1,000,000 x for sleeves.

Why not takem suggestions? Suggestions are ideas, which you can think about. Doesn't mean you have to act on them.

Surely most people look for inspiration (suggestions) when thinking about having a tattoo. I did.........and i couldn't be happier with mine.

That said, you DO need a stsarting point, at least a thought of what you want, not just "spec me a tatt"..:D

If you don't know what you want, why are you thinking of getting one at all!

This. If you don't have something in mind that you absolutely love and holds some meaning to you, why the hell would you want it on your body for the rest of your life?

Especially at the scale the OP is talking about. That's not going to be removed easily if you get bored of it.

First and foremost go to the best artist you can as one of the main reasons people end up regretting a tattoo is quality rather than content. If you're having trouble finding an artist that catches your eye go to a tattoo convention and browse, the London one is one of the best in the world.

A summary of good artists who are mostly famous for particular styles, these are just in the UK. If you're willing to travel to Europe/New York there are many more.

Traditional:
Valarie Vargas
Xam
Tuttie Serra
Simon Erl
Frank Carter
Bradley Tompkins

Japanese:
Stewart Robson
Rodrigo Souto
Ian Flower
Nikole Lowe

Lettering:
Stewart Robson
Stefano Cera
Emiliano Zapata

Tribal (The real stuff, not garbage)
Xed le Hed
Thomas Thomas

Realistic Colour:
Bez - Triple Six Tattoo

New School:
Matt Difa
Ash Davies

I've been tattooed by Valeria Vargas, Stewart Robson and Frank Carter and rate all of them highly.

Just make sure you are 100% happy with the designs before you get them done :) I'm still designing the rest of my sleeves, I want to get some others as well but have no idea what yet :(

I bought some tattoo sleeves off ebay for around £3.00. Buy those and walk around. See how you feel.

Big Bang Fail

I was discussing tattoos with my girlfriend yesterday, she said I should get an I/O plate tattooed on my arm, I said I'd get "USB3 Compatible" but then she pointed out that USB 3 will be out of date at some point lol

I deciced I could just get a button that said "Press Here to Turn Me On"

Should get 'PnP' tattoed on your Johnson.

I have a friend with the Bat symbol on his chest and supermario allstars on his stomach. I suggest to the op that you DONT do this!

Pick your own designs, or at least talk to friends who might have the first clue about you and what you like. Whatever you do don't take advice from strangers on the internet. Like me!
