Who here owns a Renaultsport?

How the hell do you get through noise regulations!

Got a bit twitchy through Paddock Hill :). Does seem a bit like a car park out there though.

Where people driving particularly slow? The track does look damp to be fair though.

You seem to be overtaking some nice cars effortlessly. On an empty track, I doubt there would've been much in you and the M3!!!

But yes, its crazy noisy :p

lol my iphone can't handle the noise, so its gone distorted, sounds worse than it is in real life. Car made 98dB static at about 4700rpm

I was expecting paddock hill to be the worst, but actually found i kept losing the back end on Surtees corner, got a nice little drifto going on one lap :D

Nope, just me and the beamer were driving very fast! :p

Bought some RS inlets on ebay. Probably wont make a massive difference but they were only £25 posted so loads cheaper than a set of matched ones.

Are the RS stamped ones the ones off the 182?

For £25 it will do a lot more than any after market panel filter or anything will, so sounds like a good buy.

Get some new gaskets tape them up to the new manifold and match the ports yourself with a rotary file.

I got bored today and decided to fit the updated crank sensor and loom, pull my engine forwards a bit and fit my washer blanks.

Quite a productive day I think. AD08s on my F1s next week and I'll almost be ready for Silverstone.

Annoyingly, now I've got to the end of the issues with my car, another has popped up - I need a new steering rack :( Fortunately, I doesn't seem like too bad a job - easy enough to risk a second hand unit.

Has anyone on CS stuck a 1*2 through an MOT with headlight washer blanks to prove weather they fail or not? The wording seems a bit ambiguous.

Oh yeah, you have 'your MOT tester', :)

But your right, I doubt they will fail cars with the washers removed. It will be a different story for people like me who have them fitted, but not working. I've got until October to figure out what to do though.

The answer is get rid of the godawful black things sticking out of your bumper and replace them with tidy looking blanks :)

It takes about 10 minutes to fit them :P

Mine passed its MOT towards the end of November with the washers not working. Incidentally the front washer motor stopped working so i swapped the xenon motor for the windscreen wiper motor just before the MOT, passed through fine! And this mot'er was going on about how he'd just sent his motman on a refresher course as the requirements were changing in the next few months and getting a lot stricter.

I think if you can find somewhere where common sense doesnt elude then you should be fine, hell be honest and ask them before hand will they pass the car without xenon washers working, and tbh unless your a renault sport fan I bet you wouldnt even know these types of cars had xenon washers!! Or better yet how to get them to work!
