Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Just wondering whether this was worth buying so late, seeing lots of mixed reviews on it on the thread :D

Appreciate it'll be tricky with beginners weapons etc but assuming I find a good group to play with, it may well be OK?

I do enjoy FPS in general but got SW:TOR instead (looking to be a mistake now!)...

Anything is possible if you get a good squad. We're always looking to team up with people and go on Comms (TS, Mumble etc). Makes the game waaay more enjoyable. Just look us up on Battlelog ;)

just add a bunch of us off here theres a few servers we frequent

if you want to add me im dgeesio on bl . i mainly play tdm and some conquest with these guys at night

Good to see someone is using otside voice support, which bf3 lacks so much. Communication vise, bf3 on its own is a joke
 
I'm using the config on the signature, Vsync ON ingame and "gametime_maxvariablefps 59", so I can use Vsync, remove stuttering without having issues related to mouse lag. My framerates are pretty good, but eventually it goes lower than 59, but when it is like 55, for example, feels like 30. Why is that? There is some way to solve that problem?

Ive got over 100 hours logged on BF3

After a while you learn all the random spots you can spawn when spawning on a flag. Take the alley in grand bazaar, there are a couple of places it will spawn you, all of them the rooms off to te side around the flag. You soon learn that you need somebody watching your back in the largest room behind the flag as the enemy spawn right against the back wall.

As for partly in a wall, I assume referring to seine crossing, when you spawn on market avenue they spawn under a broken building right at the back in the right hand corner.

Sit in it as you take the flag and if somebody spawns tere you can shoot them in the back as soon as they do.

The game has about 4 or so random spawn points for each flag. Learn where they are and don't stand 1 foot in front of one when capping it !

It has it's bugs

But it's still very enjoyable. Here's why
