Not worth it. This game is a total snipers and rpg camp fest, on pretty much every server. 70% of the players are playing as a camping sniper and as an rpg spammers.

Haven't got much of a problem with rpg spammers, since they r not overpowered that much, but snipers are a total joke. 1 shot = 1 kill, range is pretty much not a big deal since you got 12x scope and you can fire off bullets almost like a machine gun. You don't even have to aim that much, just spray and pray even if you are shooting 1km.

Snipers can reach high building with their mav bug, when no other class can, can set up mobile spawn points and can use 3d spotting. Pretty much a god mode class, dice might have as well given them unlimited ammo and health.

It's easy to tell which class is the most overpowered by the number of people playing it. I hardly ever see a support or an assault class anymore. Just engineers and snipers.

There have been times, say as a gunner in a chopper where the pilot has taken me over the RU base on Caspian where I've refused to fire a shot as I'm not big on spawn rape at all. I've had it done to me and it sucks wildly, but if I'm being shot at, I shoot back. ANyway, I'm no longer banned so happy enough.

The uncap bases have a fixed AA turret for exactly this reason, so it's fair game, there is something available to counter aircraft.

But actually getting into their base is something that the game has been designed from stopping you from doing, but on some levels it's possible to spawn kill. It's also why mortars show themselves on the map when they fire, so that spawn killing isn't rampant on maps like Bazaar.

Oh come off don't talk ****. Just because you're butt hurt about snipers don't try and put new players off the game.

All of the bolt action snipers are 2 hit kills to anywhere but the head. Even the top of the range M98b is only 95 damage to the chest. All of the bolt actions need a headshot to I hit kill.

And the ones that "fire off bullets like a machine gun" are the semi auto snipers which can't even kill in 1 shot, even to the head and only do about 30 damage to the chest at range

What are you smoking? I still see a lot playing support and assault.

To get a 1km is not that easy, I can only manage a 490m kill.

Put any snipers in the front line, they're minced meat. All snipers care about is k/d.
 
I don't get the fact people choose to play support but don't "support" their squad/team!

It's easy points for one thing but can also make a big difference at key points as otherwise the assault guys run out of ammo and promptly end up dead!

I make a point to always drop a box whenever mine or other squad stops at a point or we're stacking up at a corner etc :)

Yep I don't get that. Unless a Support player is still getting points from an ammo box they've already put down, they should always be putting another one down if they're near team mates. Takes literally 2 seconds and it gets them more points.

I dunno. :)
 
For sniping, the best rifle ive used is the m98, i havent even unlocked it yet. Picked it up from a dead guy on a sniper only server. Its the flattest shooting rifle of the lot, though the bullet drop on all of them is way over the top, particularly below 600m.
 
Had my first clan match last night. That was the best nights gaming i've had since the CS days. I thought we had some mental people in our clan until we all jumped on their TS, bunch of nutters :)
