Who here owns a Renaultsport?

FWIW, if anyone wants the pump and pipework, it's yours for £20 (of course, I'll have to pop it up for sale on CS or something).
 
I have been looking at that, someone mention that it might not provide enough flex and end up snapping the hangers?

My Exhaust annoys me, despite having new brackets it still doesn't sit right so I have been looking for a solution
 
Quick question to anyone who has changed front discs, how log did it take start to finish?

I'm debating wether to hope it stays dry and try and get them changed before it gets dark this afternoon.
 
That depends on whether the little retaining screws come out nicely or not.

If they do, then it shouldn't take more than an hour.

If they don't, make sure you have a drill handy and you can add 20 minutes messing around with that, depending on how many are stuck.
 
Answered my own question, about an hour and a half :)

Those screws came out fine Mike, but I did get to them, stick the torx on it and it slipped out first time of trying and I suddenly though "oh ****, this could be trouble!". Ring spanner on the end of the ratchet and some careful pressure and they came out fine.

Just been out to check that everything is working, and the vibration has gone, so seems a warped disc was the problem. For £30 it was worth doing regardless.

However, having seen the state of the bolts holding the struts to the hubs (they look like one moulded piece of solid metal!) I'm deciding wheter it would be better to take it to a garage to get my springs and new shocks fitted. Don't fancy getting it up on stands and then having to swing from a breaker bar to get them off. It would be much safer up on a lift. I will have a think.
 
No harm soaking them in Plusgas or similar the night before and just giving it a go cracking them off.

FWIW, my 143k old bolts came off easily, but then the car is generally quite clean underneath.
 
Spent a few hours cleaning today, half waxed so need to do the rest tomorrow when it's light. Pleased with the results, no pics I'm afraid as it was getting dark so will try and get some tomorrow!

What size are the suspension bolts? Might see if I can grab a breaker bar. Did you have any issue with the top mount bolts?
 
Blackcircles seem to do them for £89 fitted. Suppose it depends on how much you get charged per tyre to fit. I need 2 fronts soon and was considering the Hankooks.
