Gears of War 3 Dated (Official blah blah)

I am getting slightly irritated by the amount of cash i have to spend on silverbacks. I have all other items maxed out but silverback is almost at 3 yet I still have about 30k to spend i think when i looked at it last night.

The other thing that annoys me is the lack of team tactics it does seem to be every man for himself when playing with random people. Don't get me wrong i will do my own thing in the early levels but when you get close to wave 30 everyone needs to work together and that just doesn't seem to happen or very rarely does.

Out of the 1600ish waves of horde i have played i have only completed a 1-50 round once.

If anyone needs a hand with achievements I am more than willing to help. GT: Je11y Master. I'm on most evenings
 
I've finished 1-50 about 8 times public now. You are correct people are idiots. It's the fault of the game though, they should have made it so that if YOU spend 20k on fences everyone gets 20k chipped off their upgrade. If someone else spends 20k on the SB it goes towards everyone still in the games upgrade.

That way I wouldn't care when someone is whoring the SB.

People on it though do the most idiotic things, like buying the SB right before the boss wave. Pointless, it gets too much damage or you have to hide it. I don't spend a penny anymore with 5 in a room until level 30-40, depending on the grade of idiot in the party.

It's not needed and you can get to 40 without any fortifications and can then use the money to nicely get to 50.

My biggest rages are at people that run off to kill whore miles from base and then expect to get picked up. Ain't gonna happen, you can bleed out and die you stupid ****. Or use your mic and beg and I just might come and save you.

Second biggest gripe is controlling the spawns, you can do it easily on lots of maps, like blood drive. You stay out of the corridor and they spawn down the end, you can whip through rounds. Yet I always get some scrote that runs down the passage trying to get the kills and this stops them spawning. Or on overpass people go and stand by the door ways and don't seem to understand why no one is coming out anymore.

I love horde, it's my favourite game now but there is so much I could do to improve it. The game didn't need a silverback for starters. Dump the SB and give the lancer 600 rounds per wave.

The game comes alive with 5 that work as a team, sadly there isn't enough people I know to do that so I take my chances with randoms unless a game is going on epic forums :(

BTW you think level 3 is bad, my SB is at level 5. The last upgrade required about 750k which I did legit, sadly :D

I will though still be playing 40 odd waves per day until xmas :D
 
Then if you invite me I will help you get those achieves either on my jack or I will sign a second controller in.

One of you just needs to arrange a time :D

Beast is one game mode I've never really taken the time to play.

To be honest, I've been quite disappointed by the season pass DLC so far, much of it has been useless for me as I don't play any private hoarde and I rarely see a lot of the new maps. Couple this with the fact that the last DLC will be beast and I'm not sure I'll bother with a season pass again. I was quite disappointed with Raam's Shadow DLC too.

Do you think they'll bother to make significant changes to the game at all now? It's a little long in the tooth now surely and there must be a modest dedicated audience now (although I do still very much enjoy playing it).
 
I dunno they released 19 maps for gears 2 so I don't see them abandoning this for quite a while. I played a fenix map for the first time on horde last night, the under water one. I hated it. Only map I really don't like on horde, well that and checkout.

It's hard to tell what they will do with the game now. The rules keep changing. Microsoft said one piece of dlc every quarter and that's changed with gears 3 and the total gs was raised to 2000. I have a feeling if this is making money they will let them release another pass and raise the limit again to 3k or more.

As a horde player I've had more than my monies worth from dlc even though I'm not a huge fan of beast at all. I can't see them abandoning the game, gears 2 is still in the top 10 most played live games and gears in the top 3.

It's the lack of team tactics that has completely put me off horde TBH. I do like it a lot but always seem to end up with numpties doing completey stupid things. I could do with a hand for achievements (or even just a decent game...) if you fancy it, or if a few of you here fancy a bash even better. I'm a decent enough player but due to not getting a proper game with any good players to play with, not up on the specific tactics to get to L50 on Horde.

What times suit? I can do it any time on Thursday execpt between 2-3pm, but preferably before 9 (the mrs comes in at 9 - need to talk and stuff ;))

But Im happy to try and get it done when it suits all. Generally im on after 10 most nights.

Thanks. I'll pick it up when I get home. I am on generally in the evenings so anytime after 6.30- 7 pm really.
 
I love alpha koth. I will be gutted when it goes :(

Had my best game ever. Me and 3 bots beat a full party on the other team. I was fully expecting to get bummed.

Is it unlockable for a limited time, or usable for a limited time?
I was on the Gnashy playlist and never seen anything, or any pop ups saying it was unlocked? Dont see anything on the Epic link.
 
You can select it from the multiplayer options when you select your playable character for the Locust. I'm not sure if it's a permenant thing or not. Get Gnashty does count as an event too, I just got mine.
 
Ok im up for getting the following achievements over next 2-3 days...

The Host with the Most (Host private horde)
Places to See, People to destroy (Host private Beast)
Kill Locust (Defeat boss with five Onxy guards)
Team Zeta Go ! (1-10 waves of Horde at Zeta members)
Come to Poppa (Win match as five recruit Claytons)

There is some interest in getting a group started for those who need these...
