*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

Well I think I am officially over this game. Just don't find it that interesting at 50 and cannot see me going through it all again with an alt, the class line quests just aren't enough.

Will disband guild later as its not fair to have people sitting in the ranks making it look messy.

Will let this sub run out and come back in 3-4 months.

Bao Tur: Meha (Republic) Jedi Knight (DPS) Lvl 32
Senator Contisplex: Echobe (Sith) Merc (Healer) Lvl 12
Goluud Corridor: Emmow (Sith) Inquistor (Healer) Lvl 11

if anyone is on those EU servers, feel free to send a friends invite

I'm on Goluud Corridor with my guild, so will probably say hi at some point.

I wouldnt say so on my server, I seem to see more Sith Mauraders than Sorcs, at the beginning I agree there were shed loads but its pretty well balanced on The Arkanian Legacy from what I can tell.

Still loving the healing with Sith Sorc though, got innervate at the weekend and am healing like a monster!. I can see some people struggling with the healing in this game though, it isnt just spam heal heal heal heal, you have to choose the right spell and combo it with Resurgance.

Can see my level 50 spec being This

Is mine - the last point I might move from concentration to reduce damange by 1%

Dont worry about the 2 points to reduce noble sacrifice (consumption) though as you can get a proc on critical hits that will cost no reduction in force regen or hp - so up your crits and you can essentially heal forever!

Getting bored of being absolutely demolished by Gunslingers/Operatives :/

Is this working as intended or are they being brought in line damage wise? their burst is mental :( the amount of stunlocking is just something to cry about, I can break out of it once but that's it, I have to stand there and act as target practice most of the time!

they are getting a hefty nerf soon, sadly :p

The problem 'was' they could stack stims/buffs which increased the burst attacks far too much however since that can't be done anymore they don't pose a problem.

It also depends on what class you are and level...

As per sig, lvl 43 Marauder. If I can stay close to one I can kill, as soon as I'm stunned/rooted it's game over. Makes me cry when a lvl 24 Operative just picks away at me one root at a time :(

Our most epic battle ever on Ilum, not sure this video really shows how great this fight was, the bit in front of their base went on for about 10/15 minutes it was brilliant!

Looks like so much fun, such a pity I'm stuck away from the pc after hospital.

I'm really surprised by the amount of light sabers there. I really expected many more.

It does look like there are a lot of sith inquisitors on the other side though.

I really need to get to lvl 50 on my Sigh Juggernaut and then get The Dark Immortals to take you goodie two shoes on hehe

On a side note, I remember a massive thread on the SWTOR forums complaining about the vast amounts of dark Jedi and red light sabers, I didn't see a single one so far in many pop videos on the republic side. :D

Now I just need to find a damn good Red +Power crystal, I dislike orange hehe.

The whole white saber crystal thing has made me laugh

I want a white saver and black one!!

If white is good enough for Imperial Knights in the EU, they're good enough for me.

Only if your character is neutral though. :)

I can't wait to get my hands on. A black cored red saber crystal.
Or a black core white crystal that's like the Darksaber

just cancelled my sub, 4 days remaining.

It's just not giving me that addiction that other games did, and I haven't got the immersion in the Star Wars universe that I had with SWG.

Might return in a few months and see how things are.

Anyway, doubt i'll post again in the next 4 days so, Live Long, and Prosper :p lol

Playing a Trooper/Vanguard, not even looked at alts and I hit 28 last night. Love the crafting system and the storyline is superb.

Not sure what it is about the Vanguard, I just love getting stuck in!

Its is I absolutely love this part of the game, I wish they could just fix the FPS in Ilum.

It funny how for the first 2/3 week the Sith totally dominated Ilum, and now this is slowly changing everyone I go I can see the gap closing, the videos never really show the numbers unbalance very well, but even with that (I would say from 35/55% more sith) imbalance, we are starting to win more than we lose, in another 2 weeks or so we should., have another 15/20 level 50 if not more and once we can take 2 raid teams in there under one direction, we will hold sway! ..But then in all PvP we always have, said this a long time ago when people were on about us taking a beating in Ilum, thats its a not a sprint but a marathon ...and boy do we have stamina :)

Another nice thing is we getting recognized as the leading guild on the server thats taking the fight to them, and come our PvP Ilum run time the whispers suddenly go crazy, can we join are you going ..what should we do to help :)

This again leads to growing, yesterday we had a entire guild disband and join us, which is nice in 2 ways we pick up more of the players we want, and they still play with the mates they have for years :)

Well, I've officially called it a day on SWTOR.

I think it's a great game but ultimately, it's a WoW clone with lightsabers and a few small tweaks in places (like the crafting system).

The voice acting is nice but you'll eventually just find yourself reading the subtitles and then skipping through the vast majority of spoken dialogue.

The PvE content is too easy (people 2 shotting bosses?!) and the PvP content doesn't have the fluidity required to reach a truly competitive level.

Add that to the fact Bioware seem like a bunch of clowns and don't have a clue what they are doing - I'm out. :(

I'm not sure they can fix the fps in Ilum. Just like they really can't fix the fleet. The game just seems bad at rendering characters and loading their textures.
The more players you have the more spikes and monumental chug you experience. All of their code in that area of the game needs a serious re-write.

Once toons have all been loaded it settles down, a little, but it's still runs like ass compared to Warcraft.
It's a real shame because if it ran nicely and they fixed the animation/ability lock out nonsense it would a lot more fun for everyone.
